  9. Philippa- I have to use the full name just like my mum did when I was in trouble - are you kidding me - no way in hell are you going to smoke. Remember how bad you were feeling when you quit and do you seriously want to go through those first few weeks again! Now harden up princess and go do some serious reading - cos you have obviously forgotten everything you know about the truth of smoking !

    iPad smileys

This is where I wish there was pointless thread cos I don't want to waste people's time - but anyone out there struggling with smileys ....eg no auto correction and on the iPad no option to post them ?? Or did Tracey really steal them all ??
  15. Of course it counts - we just have to do what we can do
  16. Did elliptical then did a workout challenge - 30 each of jump squats, lots of kettle bell, lunges , more kettle bells, abs and finish with 500 metres on the rower - ready for my crumpet now !
  17. Aww ((( Evelyn))) sounds like you are doing this - it is great you have a plan . Herbal tea is awesome - quitting does make us more susceptible to caffeine. Sounds like you are limiting the gum which I think is great - when you finally give that up t- the less nicotine in your system the better The most important thing though - is nurse this quit like a baby and do whatever you need to do to keep the quit!!
  18. I am happy to call it smug- yesterday I was at a course and the speaker asked if we needed a break after an hour - I think I was the first to say we should go straight through and finish earlier- a concept that would have killed me when I was smoking !
  19. I think that is exactly what it is - once we choose to quit and recognise smoking isn't an option - we don't have the panic we felt if we ran out - not that that happened much - I was to terrified of the consequences
  20. Way to go Bassman - congrats on a great quit

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
