  1. Wow, a very nice $ benefit :)
  2. Oh I can so relate! I have a bag of chocolate on my bed side table, how bad is that? :)
  3. I just love how you guys show so much support, keeping an eye on newbie quits! This board rocks :)
  4. Congratulations!
  5. Sending prayers and healing thoughts!
  6. Awesome group of quitters :)
  7. Well done Marti! Loved it :)
  8. You got it Nat, NOPE :)
  9. aww..that really sucks Chrys. Seeing my sister smoke this weekend was one thing - but listening to her cough half the night and into the next morning was another. I know your sister is "estranged" but pity her because she smokes. If she continues, she won't be enjoying the healthy life you have :) Keeping you and mom in my thoughts. Speedy recovery for mom!
  10. Way to put things in perspective Marti. It's a new day :)
  11. Getting my sleep pattern back on course finally (keeping my fingers crossed). I started this quit smoking way back in May, and just this past week got some good sleep. This sounds trivial compared to what some folks are going through, but I find it hard to cope each day without at least 5 hours of sleep. And finally it's coming around. Whoo hoo!
  12. SanDar

    wow

Glad you're finding an outlet for the agitation/restlessness. You are doing great!
  13. Congratulations Jimmy! :)
  14. I ate a few (well, quite a few) Werther's hard candies.
  15. Happy Birthday Nay! Have a good one :)
  16. What has helped me most is realizing that cigarettes do nothing for me. From the first one I ever smoked (oh so many years ago) to the last. It was a nasty addiction and a farce. I thought they were "calming", that was such a lie. Realizing this made my quit fairly easy. Oh there are days. But I would have those days even if I had never smoked.
  17. Hi and good to see you :)
  18. Welcome Nat! Quitting is the best decision for you. Stick close to the board here. There's a lot of information here and learning about our addiction is the best way to defeat it. It's not as difficult as we perceive it to be. And before you know it, you will be enjoying all the benefits of being smoke-free! Glad to have you on board :)
  19. Nope, no smoking for me
  20. Smoking offers us NOTHING but grief, sickness and eventually death. Stay with that beautiful quit :)
  21. Congrats on getting week 1 done and over :)
  22. Good job Jackie. You've got an awesome non-smoking attitude to take you through this day :)
  23. Wow Marti! What an f*ing ordeal you had to go through. All I can say is you are one determined lady and look at you now, close to 6 months free. Way to go :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
