    H.S. Football

You raised some beauties! And the little ones are just too cute :) I hardly ever missed a high school football game while my grandson was playing. Loved that. Now I guess I wait for the next grandkid, which probably won't be football. He races dirt bikes. But all over the country, so we aren't able to get to as many as we would like. Funny how we become fanatic fans of whatever sport our kids or grandkids play. :)
  2. Way to go Jackie! I know exactly how you feel, been there, done that. Now it's forward only for both of us :)

Only when you don't have to work. I think it's some kind of universal law of nature or something.

    Sad evening

    So sorry (((Nancy)))
  24. Hi Natalie, I don't have answers to all your questions, as my quit is fairly new. I can tell you that it really doesn't have to be hard to quit. Have you read Alan Carr's book yet? The Easy Way to Quit Smoking? I can't remember whether you said you had read it or not. I have read it more than once. I have quit smoking more than once. This time was different because I FINALLY realized that smoking does nothing for us. Not. one. single. thing. Except relieve us of withdrawal from the last one we smoked. Once I understood this, it made quitting soooo much easier. Oh I had a few uncomfortable moments, but that's about it. Instead of "craving" a cigarette, I have thoughts of smoking. I smoked for so many years, there are bound to be memories. I dismiss them, tell myself that I no longer am a slave to nicotine, and carry on. I found that keeping busy the first few days was a real benefit. Made the time fly. I read everything I could here on this site and on whyquit.com I read Alan Carr's book again. I also forced myself to get outside and walk my dogs, whether I felt like it or not. By the time I finished walking I felt better. Keep posting here. There are no silly questions. There is a lot of knowledge here, so keep asking. You can do this :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
