Lefty here as well. I also grew up in the fifties/sixties. I had a first grade teacher who tried to convince me that I was writing with the wrong hand. And then my mom went to the school and tried to convince the teacher that maybe she was in the wrong occupation. ^_^ I still use my right hand as my "scissors cutting" hand. I can probably thank that first grade teacher for that. ;)
