  5. Busy here... But in fine form. Count me in for the ranch visit!
  6. Nice work JC!
  7. Sorry to hear this Evelyn. As you say - you know the drill.
  8. Glad it was good, Evelyn.

  11. Glad you are feeling a bit better Colleen. For me, it is always taking one step that starts bringing the others in line...so I start with forcing myself to drink more water.... But it sounds like you are already back on it....get those endorphins going! (And work off the Christmas goodies!)
  12. Nice work Joe! 13 months- well done Smoking used to dominate my life, then quitting did....then living began to dominate my life. A truism, but the first step is indeed the hardest. Great post.
  13. Morning Delta. I'm not sure if you are expressing despondency or hope. I pray that it is the latter, and that you can look yourself in the mirror and say, " today I am a better man than yesterday and tomorrow I will be again" That's all we can do isn't it? I wish you and yours a Happy Holiday season.
  14. Hey JC. Crappy day. Sorry. The crappy days don't disappear entirely I'm afraid. Crap is still crap! Well done for posting, it's good to read, post and get it all out there. You are doing great.
  15. Good to hear from you Sharon. Merry Christmas!
  16. Good post Chrys. Another tactic. You have more energy. You have more time. You have more self belief. You have more money. Maybe it's time to take something else up? Run? Gym? Swim? A language? A craft? You quit smoking, spend a little cash and some time on something else, something that you want to do...
  17. "I must have enjoyed smoking....if I didnt, I would not have smoked for so long, would I?" "I know it's bad for me, so I know that I shouldn't smoke, but I'll just have one for old times sake..." No No No No No No No Utter Bullshit. You never enjoyed smoking. You convinced yourself that you did, to be all grown up and cool. It tastes like crap. It chokes you. It stinks. Rowly, Karen. Stop romancing false memories of smoking. You have beaten the addiction. Don't fall for the false promises of the cigarette...they are exactly that. False. Things get better the minute that you understand that cigarettes have nothing for you. UNDERSTAND! Now.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
