  1. Honestly? I'm not. Just felt like an appropriate thing to say.
  2. Morning all 19
  3. Glad to see you here Delta. A fantastic quit you have there. Well Done!
  4. Today, I pledge not to Smoke.. Not One Puff Ever.....just for today. Who will join me?
  5. My emotion is the voice that shouts, smoke! My emotion is the voice that whispers "you can't live for ever" or "just one won't hurt". It is my rational logic that firmly asserts "you won't live for ever but that doesn't mean you should poison yourself" or "just one? There is no just one. Just one is a lifetime of slavery. Be aware of your choice's consequences" At times, the logic has to call on the emotion, has to beg for its trust! Smoking has no upside. Test this logically. Then get your heart on board and use both!
  6. Markus, you make me laugh. At times, we reach exactly the same conclusions from completely the opposite directions

  14. Well Hello Stranger! Great to see you, great to hear the quit still going strong! Congrats on your two months!
  15. Marti - absolutely no need to be reasonable! She is scared - and she has martyr syndrome. "its too late for me - but you must stop!" - And in fairness to her - Mission Accomplished! I don't think you should feel bad at all! I think that you have done/are doing a magnificent job. Your quit. Hubby's quit. Getting your Mum to the stage she is at. These things are incredible. You are FANTASTIC! I say don't be angry / upset 1. It does nothing positive for you. 2. It does not get you closer to where you want to be. So - massive congratulations to you and Chris. Bask in your glory.
  16. knew that girl was winner from the moment I saw her....
  17. Yup. For me, 'forever' was always scary. Fortunately - I am quite dim - so I liked Cristobal's explanation that all I had to do was pledge to take Not One Puff Ever..just for today. And keep doing that. He promised that if I did that enough times - I would want to smoke less and less. Going OK so far :)
  18. Ya win...your posting a number - not smoking so you win! .+1 for newbies - 1 oldies you're a newbie last number was 19 your post is?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
