  1. 44 years to a Toffee.... True Love!
  2. Well done Laura. fingers crossed for the job. :)
  3. Rob - feel the pain! Step out anyway. I often go for a quick walk around the block...clear the head and all that. "Virtual" smoke break.
  4. Marti! 2 months is a great milestone. Well done you! Brilliant work. Congratulations to you and Chris - even old cranky on her reduction program ;)
  5. Hey Drew! Stop by from time to time! I'll miss your humour. Keep the quit and have fun.
  6. Way to go Guus and Boris! A whole new world.
  7. Helllooooo My name is Xavier! Ole! Pass me the avocado you little nutmeg you...
  8. Hey Amy Giving up on your goal because of one set back is like slashing your other three tires because you got a flat Familiar? I know that it can feel impossible, relentless and difficult. You have done this before - so you know you can. If you can't? OK - no worries, you are where you started. No worse. If you stop trying - well then you will definitely not succeed. You have read NOPE. NOPE is half of the phrase for me. I follow NOPE as shown to me by Bakon's buddy Cristobal. NOT ONE PUFF EVER...just for today. Quitting smoking is way too scary for me. But you know what? I think I can quit for Today. Then, if I want one, I can go out, buy some and smoke tomorrow. I'll worry about that tomorrow morning. NOPE just for Today. When I started - I went hour to hour. Making deals with myself. Every time I got through an hour - I made a decision about the next hour. Soon I was at 24 hours. OK - maybe I can do another 24 hours?.... That was 100+ days ago. I know you can quit for 24 hours. You know you can quit for 24 hours (you already have several times). So. When you get up, decide to quit for 24 hours. Give your lungs a break. Come here - pledge not to smoke - just for 24 hours. Tomorrow we can talk again. Join me Amy.....Not One Puff Ever....just for today ;)
  9. Great work Ross! Congratulations!
  10. Hey Sarah - The emotional thing is normal. I have cried more in the last 100 days than the preceding 30 years. A body chemistry thing I think. The trigger? Great work. That is why the 'wise ones' tell us it is a year until the triggers go. Something as simple as the weather changing can kick off a trigger. You did great. Ignore it and it goes away. Great work.
  11. Sharon! - Great work! Take your chimp out for a walk ;) Congratulations
  12. Great work Pip! All done Upside down too. Very impressive. Congratulations!
  13. Congratulations Baffled! 10 months is brilliant.
  14. Ross! Kippers! You are missing out young man. Oh the youth of today! Breakfast of Champions. They only really work for 'late' breakfast - so a weekend. Only in the summer - cos you need to open every window in the house ;) - but once in a while...well worth it. Where will you be in 5 years?
  15. When are you coming to Huddersfield? ;)
  16. Fantastic! Congratulations Faye. Brilliant work.
  17. I'll join you Evelyn. NOPE for me today.
  18. Hey Tiff Rough one. same drill as a the beginning. Deep breaths, sip some water. Talk to the craving. Laugh at it. The craving is there - but you do not have to listen to it. It will go away again.

  20. Morning Quittrain! Smoking sucks. Just for Today...its a NOPE for me. ALL ABOARD!
  21. Very jealous... I do believe U2 played Red Rocks - and it was part of the live Album "Under a Blood Red Sky". Was in Denver last summer - Cool place. ;)
  22. Nope. Things can get a little toasty though. Evian Cool Spray saved my life at my wedding (blistering hot day to wear 9 yards of wool)
  23. Favourite place you have been to? Favourite you want to go to?
  24. Favourite vacation so far? Favourite vacation not yet taken?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
