  1. 11 months is fantastic. Counting down to the big one year! Congratulations!
  2. Sorry to hear that Evelyn. The positives are that you seem to be learning from each quit and moving forward. I know that you have a lot on your plate. You smoked. Not good, but not the end of the world. Keep fighting and you will get there.
  3. Oops...just posted in a congratulations thread...getting a little ahead of myself! Getting closer though!
  4. I'll join you Rowly. NOPE for me
  5. Fantastic work Evelyn! Congratulations on two weeks.
  6. Hey Rowly. The Quit Smoking Discussion area is probably the place to start a thread. You might want to think about a blog too. There is a blog tab at the top of the screen. Why did you smoke? You sound like you don't want to, yet you did. I'm not trying to be funny, but if you can understand why you wanted to smoke, then you can understand how to take that desire away.
  7. Hey Trish. Good work so far. Sometimes the nagging craves seem relentless. They just wear you down through their persistence. It's preparation for the relentless way that the Tar kills you. Your addiction will play all sorts of tricks on you, tugging on your emotions to get you to smoke. Sometimes, it's just brute fierce and ignorance. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. It does get better Trish. Honest!
  8. 6 months is fantastic! Congratulations!
  9. Great work Tiger! Congratulations!
  10. I will join you Evelyn. NOPE for me. Just for today!
  11. Waaaaaaaay past my bedtime. Have a generous glass or two of something white and bracing for me ;) Great to have you back Jimmy
  12. Hey Rachael! How you doing?
  13. Do you work to live or live to work? What do you? Favourite vacation?

  19. Morning Evelyn Great work yesterday! Really close to 2 weeks now. Well done.
  20. Hey Evelyn. Sorry you are sad. The therapy I guess? You are doing really well, you did the right thing and posted here. Smoking won't help. You already know that. Great job, well done. Very proud of you.
  21. Great job Laura. Notice how the Chinese tasted better? Every crave battle won gets you closer to winning the war. :) Off to a funeral today. Expecting a mini-crave. I'll laugh at it and point out the irony of it...then I won't smoke. And - I'll feel good about it. Every day is a little victory Laura - and it gets easier. You are doing great. Just keep on keeping on.

  23. A bit more info... Hi! My name’s Stephen and I’m pretty much like your average teenager- except for the last three years now I’ve been battling cancer. The current opinion voiced by my doctors is that my disease is incurable, and as a result I want to spend as much time as possible raising funds for a charity very close to my heart. Last year I posted a bucketlist online and start blogging my journey on www.facebook.com/stephensstory. Since then “Stephen’s Story” has grew exponentially and I’ve achieved all kinds of fun and wonderful things. Feel free to check outwww.stephensstory.co.uk to find out more. https://www.justgiving.com/stephen-sutton-tct
  24. Morning Fluffy Leg! Day 4 - Over the hump now. How are you doing today my beautiful non smoker in Texas friend?
  25. ((((Marti)))) "Success is the other side of failure." "You don't make mistakes - you don't make anything." I got loads of these - can go on for hours. You are right - the pub system in UK is designed for...well, the people who designed it - none else makes money. Onwards and upwards!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
