  3. Way to go Slovenka. Your previous quits were all useful practice. Most people have them. You are absolutely right - the addiction will try to make you think that a cigarette will help..it won't. But the cravings get less, the benefits get more...every day is better and better. Keep going!

  13. Another vote for Sauconys. T, try a specialist running shop. I found them refreshingly helpful and straightforward. No BS. If they are not asking you to run a few steps on a treadmill, you are in the wrong shop....
  14. A long weekend of triggers for me. A big golfing weekend, with El B as chief mischief maker, organiser and ultimately winner.... Did I feel like smoking? Yep. Could I get online? No. What did I do? Remembered you all, and remembered that I pledged Not One Puff Ever... And took, Not One Puff..... So today, I pledge Not One Puff Ever....... Who will join me?

  18. Susana! Good to see you again. Welcome here. Lots of great advice above. When it comes down to it, just stop sticking things in your mouth and setting fire to them. You absolutely have the strength to do this.
  19. Tour de France. A lot of people so desperate to prove that they can ride a bike quickly, that they A. Dress head to toe in Lycra B. Stuff themselves full of performance enhancing pills C. Change their blood to avoid detection Baffles me. Still, apparently it was a huge success, and reading the paper today, it may have started the Yorkshire Independence Movement. The world has gone mad.
  20. Congratulations Nancy! Fantastic work. Thank you for all the help and support that you have given me and others.
  21. Great work Gabby!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
