  1. Hey Tiff Sorry I am late onto this. Great work posting SOS. There are times when we all want a hand. You reached out and someone was here for you. That's what this place is all about. Great work. I was an emotional wreck for a while...we completely change our body chemistry and our minds when we quit....it takes a while for everything to get back into balance. We = me and you = non smokers by the way. Sounds like a crap day....they still happen whether we smoke or not...well done for fighting the crave, and for posting here. You got this!
  2. wow. beautiful.
  3. How very British! Not sure about those wine glasses though Sharon - a brew required methinks....can you get Lee to put a knotted hankie on his bonce? (That'll fox the septics!)
  4. Congratulations Mason! Great work. Well done!
  5. TGIF folks! A hot steamy Friday in England with more storms coming...proper vibrant, exciting weather! Today, I'm going to embrace the weather, embrace the natural world, embrace being ALIVE! What I am not going to do is smoke a disgusting, filthy cigarette. So, just for today, I pledge; Not One Puff Ever.... Who will join me?
  6. Maybe 'cos you are posting on the QT?
  7. Me too!
  8. Five... Do we have time to change the counting game rules?
  9. Amy Failure is to stop trying. Success is to keep trying. You are here because you want to quit, you absolutely can do it. We will all do everything in our power to help and cheer you along. Go for it!

  11. Great stuff! Well done. Patches? Not my bag, but if they help you, great. It's your quit, so don't hope for it to be easy, make it easy! You are off to a brilliant start, well done you!
  12. Good to hear from you Markus. True when you wrote it and true now.

  16. (((Doreen))) I am not a brackets man, but that post I will keep for ever. Doreen you are quite possibly the bravest most giving person I have never met..god bless you and Tony.
  17. 5 Yup.
  18. Tiff, I found it useful to think on a few things... 1. How do I feel different as a non smoker? 2. Hey. I quit. Do I need to think about that? Nope. I need to enjoy all of the things that I found in 1. 3. Hey. I quit. What now? Hmmm...I'm not as fit as I should be...... Tiff. You have wrested control of your life from one of the most addictive and destructive activities on the planet. You rock. Don't just tell yourself. Buy a reward. Post here what you bought. You deserve it!
  19. I'm in great form, thanks. I know what you mean on quitting, when it doesn't stick, it feels a lot like failure, and gets a bit kinda relentless. It's not of course, every mini quit helps I think, but I'm not going to pile pressure on you. I smoked for 30 years! So in no position to judge anyone. I can tell you though that it feels epic to be quit. And just like you, it was one minute at a time to start with. There is never a right time Amy....the worst that can happen is that you carry on smoking...which you are doing anyway... So jump in. The water is lovely ;-)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
