  1. You can rely on the Bandit to miss the party. Happy Birthday Paul!
  2. Tea Gate. May I just point out that the last time there was a transatlantic discussion about Tea, most of it ended up in Boston Harbour and those silly people across the water were condemned to centuries of sports that nobody else plays and bad coffee. Marti, my dear. with regards to your extremely serious issue... 1. Open the cupboard and find a dusty old tea pot. 2. Engage cranky in the knitting of an eccentric but ever so slightly cute tea cosy 3. Go to your local Wilko or Robert Dyas and purchase a tea strainer 4. Task the children with the Arts and Crafts activity of opening the offending tea bags one by one, emptying the leaves into the a caddy bought for the purpose. 5. Commence a ritual of once a day drinking proper tea in the English manner, made with leaves, in a pot Harrumph. We have to maintain standards you know Marti.

  19. Thought about it... Susana's post rings the most true with me. I wasn't suppressing anything - hiding from anything. I was self-delusional - in terms of "I'll quit next year", "You only live once" etc...but that's all. Did quitting make me feel powerful? Oh yeah baby....it makes me feel that I can do anything - anything I want. But I didn't have the issues described in the early posts. That must be quite a big thing to discover - but I am absolutely certain that you gals will defeat those issues with the same grace and gentle strength that you quit smoking. B)
  20. hmmmm....Sulfites allergy. Sulfites - CHEESE and WINE. Oooops... Step 1. Decant. A lot of sulfites will go out with the SO2. Step 2. Tracey's advice is good. The less mucking about the winemaker has done, the better. A lot of the big labels ADD sulfites. Some sulfites are a natural by-product and pretty much unavoidable, but some commercial wineries add sulfites to prevent oxidisation and add shelf life. Step 3. Have a look at your cheeses....
  21. Ummmm.... Absolutely nothing to contribute here... Just gonna move on...

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
