  1. The craves! The craves are the signal that you have triumphed over the addiction. The crave comes because you have refused to smoke. You ignore it and it goes away. It comes less and less. Welcome the crave - it means you are getting it done.
  2. Get your backside back on this thread Jess! Talk me through it.. Let's beat this puppy crave off.
  3. 28 days and 23 hours since you quit..lets call it 29 days. Your blood pressure will have normalised. The nicotine is long gone from your system. You no longer smell like an ashtray. Your teeth will be better. Your gums will be better. Your breath does not resemble a dragon any more. Your skin will be better. Your eyes are brighter. You have more money in your pocket. You ARE not losing Jess. YOU ALREADY WON! Sometimes, your mind will start telling you that you want a cigarette...ask it some questions... What particular bit of a smoke do you want? The taste? the smell? The catch in your throat? Which bit? You don't really want a smoke Jess. 29 Days is fantastic - you are doing an awesome job - you have pushed through the toughest bits. It is getting better and better! It will continue to do so!
  4. Yep. You can just say that! what in particular is sucking today Jess?

  11. Bakon Things seem to kind of 'suck' in the Porky world at the moment... May you be content with your eggs... Nobody I'm overly worried about right now...sometimes I find I can start getting irrational...somebody not posting for a day or two is not necessarily a bad thing is it?
  12. Great work RWW.

  14. Here ma'am
  15. Hey DF I am going to channel the Sarge here... It got better when you quit smoking. The only thing making you feel bad is you. Stop it. Allen Carr covers this in EasyWay. Don't wait for a magical day, don't wait for a thunderbolt. You quit. You did it. You looked the addiction straight in the eye and said "no more". You are pretty awesome.
  16. Hmmmmmm...got me thinking this one Wendy. Quitting was definitely a bit of a rollercoaster for a while. I'm not sure that I lost a part of myself, rather found a bit that had gone AWOL. As things have settled, I find myself more balanced, more capable, more willing to take anything on. If we were on X Factor, we would be talking about "the amazing journey"...
  17. Strong work. Strong work. Proud of you. Delighted that the wee one is on the mend. Well done Jackie.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
