  7. Great subject and your thoughts/emotions/progress you have shared and I can relate too as others may as well. I agree its the small things that we don't think much about while smoking that appears as soon as you quit that we missed out on. Freedom..freedom to come and go without thought.. no more supply to tie our addiction over til we are close to our supplier which was that gas station tabacco outlet or corner drugstore..no more of those chains and more just getting up and doing. Freedom is a huge thing to me..so good for you and thanks for a great post.
  8. Hi everyone.. first let me say congratulations to everyone that has beat the beast and has been living free of the nicotine habit.. so big congrats to you all. I am 55 and have quit numerous time in my life for a year at a time each quit. I started smoking at age 11 and its been my biggest challenge through my entire life, literally. I quit twice this year 4 months ago I went back and now I am in my third week of no more. This is my last time of being held captive by something so crippling in so many ways.. I now have to have complicated oral surgery on all my teeth and gums.. Not looking forward to it.. so I compromised my oral health for the love/hate of this horrible addiction. I never join groups but this time is different..its going to work as my new life style. as I approaching my 3rd week of quit I plan on being pro active against this life change so with great hope of success through your great site with many like myself I can keep this train chugging down the track. Hi again to everyone and wishing you the best health.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
