You can use my mantra if you want my lungs need air not smoke my muscles need stretching not cigarettes my stomach needs nourishing not nicotine my brain needs stimulation not stimulants you can do this gabby remember there is no pay back with any sort of nicotine. 3 days and it's out of your body for good :-)

My advice if your happy with all aspects of your life and don't need motivation in anyway then you have no need to dust the book off and read it, but for me I was going through a chap stage and although I still get stressed it really isn't that bad. One thing I took from this book is a gratitude attitude far to many of us talk about what we don't have rather than what we do have. If anything I'm a better person for reading the book and watching the film but that's just me xx

My friend didn't like the secret book either so she got the book called the power and it completely changed her life I'm skeptical and although I have read the secret and watched the film they missed out the part where action is needed. my friend changed her career from being a school teacher and is now a fitness coach and nutritionist and is always happy. I must admit it was this that made me decide my life needed to change in lots of ways including smoking in fact that was the first thing I wanted to sort out. I would say if you can't get into the book watch the film or buy the power.
  6. Has anyone watched or read the secret by Rhonda Byrne. Worth a read or if you have Netflix you can watch the film bare in mind though it is a documentary by philosophers and scientists.
  7. Thanks action I'm getting there I'm so fed up with quitting smoking to the point Its becoming a habbit just want done with it. i quit for 9 months last year sad i started again but you live and learn.
  8. I will not smoke i don't want to smoke i have had enough of being controlled by smoking just wish that the Iwac would stop every time I have stressful day I know it won't help. Addiction sucks!!!!

  10. Oh and to top it off I was told by a work colleuge today that she thinks I'm suffering from depression NO I'm stressed not depressed thank you. Sorry for the rant...

So I have craved a ciggies most of today and I know it won't help if I have one so I'm having the debate situation in my head again yawn. so I went for a job the other day and was told I failed the interview, but then I'm approached to say #quote here is what we can do for you we can offer you a job but not in the place you went for. err don't insult my intelligence that's like saying you failed yr driving test but we will let u drive anyway I'm furious.

  15. I will not smoke just can't wait to stop thinking about it i have been fine so frustrating. so i didn't get the job i have a job so it's not like I'm jobless. Thanks for the support :-)

I get so frustrated with the debate situations in my head, have a fag don't have a ciggie my 11 year old daughter said to me mum you know if you have a ciggie you won't feel better and your lungs will get black remember what you watched the other day don't think it won't happen to you love her
  17. Why is it whenever I try to quit smoking I encounter what seems like more stress. I didn't get the job I went for plus I have had another argument with my son.
  18. So day 4 and today was a big day for me I had a job interview, I can not explain how nervous I was. my heart was thumping and I was shaking badly but so pleased I dealt with it without sticking any ciggies in my mouth thinking I would feel better yayyyy go me happy Monday :-)

  20. Hiya I'm doing ok a little irritable but I'm getting on with life not craved a ciggy since watching those utube videos :-)
  21. Thanks for all the advice I'm back on track and feeling of. Went yoga today also I took some advice from this site and brought a book the chimp paradox so looking forward to getting into that. I have been a little irritable but that's to b expected I guess but not craved a ciggy at all so guess the utube videos have done the trick.
  22. I smoked yesterday not touched any ciggies today, and don't want to I can't imagine having my daughter watch me get cancer or any other smoking related illness. Wake up call was what I needed. I'm not sure how I start my quit but to be honest I'm not really about counting the days I have quit, I know how long i was in the nicotine prison 26 years.i will just rejoice that I am freeeee

  24. Thanks peeps - the story that has stuck for me is a 41 year old lady dying of lung cancer and she has a 9 year old daughter and a husband. She went round schools showing kids the effects of smoking. So sad it really did effect me and I'm glad it did also have been over to why quit also this morning for daily quiting u tube videos.
  25. I always feel worse when i relapse i just can't deal with the debate situations in my hrad but i will learn to go for a run or something instead. I will watch scar tactics also
