    6 Months Hitch

The last time I quit I hit 6 months and just tossed it away - I did not care and did not look back - it took me years to get back on the quit and now I wished my attitude did not suck back then no one is invincible and everyone can and will be at some point affected by smoking education and not denial has changed my attitude - but boy what some wasted years, money and health!!! I have face the truth this time, however hard, I have learned things about myself i did not know, some good some bad but I am no longer in denial I knew the 6 months point was going to be sticky for me from last time and to make matters worse personal life has been trying I have had a few sticky moments for sure but the worse thing was feeling sorry for my dam self I woke up this morning on D Day anniversary and thought Tracey what the hell have you got to complain about girl get on with life and make the bloody best of it!! I am a 6 month quit non smoker and going forth to my new life :)

  7. The Comfort Zone By Unknown I used to have a comfort zone where I knew I wouldn’t fail. The same four walls and busywork were really more like jail. I longed so much to do the things I’d never done before, But stayed inside my comfort zone and paced the same old floor. I said it didn‘t matter that I wasn’t doing much. I said I didn’t care for things like commission checks and such. I claimed to be so busy with the things inside the zone, But deep inside I longed for something special of my own. I couldn’t let my life go by just watching others win. I held my breath; I stepped outside and let the change begin. I took a step and with new strength I’d never felt before, I kissed my comfort zone goodbye and closed and locked the door. If you’re in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out, Remember that all winners were at one time filled with doubt. A step or two and words of praise can make your dreams come true. Reach for your future with a smile; Success is there for you!

  10. Hi Paula - I am sorry it did not work out :( my dear old nan used to say "when one door closes another opens up" new opportunities awaits you all - don`t look back hun - only forward things will be different and a little rough for a while - but very shortly it will all work out as it should all my very best to you and your family hugs xx
  11. brittany dont you dare throw the towel in!!! you tell that thinking to shut the F up - get mad with yourself go into the bathroom look in the mirror and give yourself a dam good talking to you can do this and get through this yes it is hard but we are here, we have done it and we are not super human or special come on you can so do this
  12. ok hun how are you doing - hopefully the crave is passed now?
  13. Do not worry about the future so much Brittany - take it a step at a time one minute, one hour, this day Your brain is trying desperately to find excuses right now to get a nicotine fix - this is not you talking - its your addiction to nicotine you do not need to wean yourself off and you are ready! - there is never a good time or ideal time to quit - only the here and now you may not feel it yet but you have come a long way from the start of day 1 - your body is healing, these feelings you have are testimony to that when possible go for a long walk, take deep breaths watching hypnosis videos on youtube helped calm me down too if you are able get into some physical exercise this is your time to fight brittany - this is your life keep reading here and posting you will get through this one step at a time
  14. Its like a beauty contest who they put in there last night - OMG another 6 go in tonight so unless normal people go in I will not be watching this season :(
  15. you say occasionally Rowly why not write down when you have one: where you where how you were feeling before were you hungry, sad, mad, thirsty, drinking etc? maybe if you make a complete log of whats going on around you and in your head at the time - a pattern will emerge and you could do something about it I dont know what else really to suggest and dont know if this would work - but maybe worth a shot I so want you to quit as I know you can do it - but it really is you that needs to want to quit my friend x
  16. Nope for me I give my respect and gratitude to those brave poor souls x

  20. I have decided to get into this this year - I did when it first started then it took a nose dive into stupidity not sure if you get this across the waters but its on our channel 5 It a reality series with a bunch of misfits thrown into a house who have to live together - cameras are on them 24/7 and the inmates (housemates) vote who is up for eviction and then its up to the public to vote who actually goes the public can be real mean and play mind games just to stir the house up can be entertaining :) human nature is fascinating good job I am getting out more these days LMAO

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
