  4. Welcome and congrats on your great decision. This quit... you are only moving forward.. .not ever backwards... backwards sucks. make a plan for when you have the blahs...or when you feel depressed. Write your plan done so that you can read it when you get that trigger/craving. You know smoking will not cure anything...so why do it. Get your bada** on and let's do this... this will be your last quit!!! Keep on keepin on.
  5. I will be driving the whole Famn Damily. I will probably only think about it when everyone is asleep and i am just driving down the highway going crazy.
  6. No time better than right now. Are you serious about this or not? This is your life we are talking about. Let's get busy getting you better.
  7. Babs... we thought you liked it in the back :o
  8. People who get big trucks to compensate.
  9. Ha...wait...I don't get it?!?!?!
  10. Nice work... 9 months is Awesomeness.
  11. Here. Not smoking is not even close to an issue anymore for me. I just want others to feel as good as I do about my accomplishment. I am taking a 14 hour road trip in 10 days. First long a** road trip since I have been quit...wondering if I will get a trigger or two. Does not really matter cause they are just fleeting thoughts...but just wondering.
  12. Tiff... you are doing something awesome here...but don't let it consume your life. Keep it in your mind... but don't forget to LIVE!!! I am not saying that it should be so easy that you don't think about it...cause you will... but stop with the analyzing. You smoked and it was a stupid decision.. but now you are smarter and getting on with life. This quitting thing is not rocket science...just don't smoke anymore. Get busy and keep on keepin on.
  13. I totally hear what you are saying here. There are certain songs that remind me of certain situations. The fact that you can relate a memory so awesome and powerful as quitting smoking to a song is cool. Whenever you get down...you can go to that song to bring you back up. Keep on keepin on.
  14. Patience is a virtue. Build it and "it" will come. keep moving forward.
  15. Both...it is a biotch.

  21. Gotta retrain your brain to enjoy life without your cigs. It is hard at first...but it gets easier and easier and easier...until you don't even think about it anymore. Life is soooo much sweeter without... keep pushing forwards. Keep on keepin on.
  22. Don't dwell... get busy living.
  23. SUEROSE.... DO NOT GO BACKWARDS. DON'T YOU DARE P*SS OUT ON THIS QUIT!!! NO GOING BACKWARDS ....ONLY FORWARDS... CAUSE BACKWARDS SUCKS!!! YES...THIS IS IN ALL CAPS...CAUSE I AM YELLING AT YOU. Why continue to torture yourself. We were quit buddies way back in the day and you were strong for me... not I will be strong to you... DON'T F*CK THIS UP... THIS ONE IS YOUR STICKY!!! it gets sooooo much easier ...I swear... I was such a nicotene junkie... no one that knew me thought I could do it. But I did..and I am sooooo much better for it. Like you know...I chewed the nico gum as well. And it did help me. It helped soften the blow. And the anticipation to stop chewing was actually worse then the act. You keep chewing that gum until you are ready to give it up...but DO NOT SMOKE!!! KEEP ON KEEPIN ON.. YOU DESERVE IT!!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
