  1. You better watch your speed.....
  2. Awesome job... congrats on being a badass!!! PS. You have not been off the coast of North Carolina lately have you?
  3. Is that a Monkey Head on the fence?
  4. Every time you get through a situation like this, your quit gets stronger and it gets easier. Keep pushing forward... it will be hard at first... but it is soooooo f*cking rewarding in the end. You might even be setting an example for the rest of your folk. You never know...you might start a new quit trend. Be strong...be awesome.
  5. "hopefully no more junctions" = Wrong "There will be no more junctions" = Right "This time I really do not want to look back"= Wrong "I will not look back" = Right it is sooooo mental. Gotta be a badass. Keep on keepin on.
  6. You sound good and strong. Stay on your toes... it will try to bring you back. But sooner or later you will realize that you have not thought about smoking for a whole day. Then later you will realize that it has been a week...etc etc etc. Congrats...keep on keepin on.
  7. Ds.... did you see that they are doing casting calls down in Atlanta for this. I saw it on facebook and thought about you.
  8. Get you mind right first. You are not a serial quitter... no more. You are a non smoker. So much of this quit thing is mental... you get to a point in your quit when you say "o hell... I done this 10 times before...I might as well do it now. You have to make smoking no longer an option...it just isn't Do you want this really? If so.. it will take some effort and an "all in" mentality. It is possible. Make a plan for when you get craves or triggers. Deap breathing...walking... cold water/juice. ARe you using an NRT? Keep on keepin on. No more backwards...only forwards.
  9. Easy Peasy is a mindset homie. Don't get your panties all bound up. Qutting is easy... just don't smoke. That is what he means. If the Sarge bothers you enough that would leave ....poof like that... then I a agree... you are looking for excuses. Get serious or you will continue to fail. It is only physical for 72 hours...then it is all mental.
  10. Stay on your toes.... No looking back... only forward. Keep on keepin on
  11. That is not who you are anymore.
  12. Saw this cool quote this morning... Life does not have a remote... you have to get up and change it. Change it Michelle
  13. It can... just do it. Change your mind.
  14. Change how you think.... change who you are. You have that power...and only you have that power. Is this something you want...really? Then get it. It is attainable....it is not impossible. If you do not want to smoke anymore...then make smoking something that is no longer an option. The first 72 hours is physical...the rest is mental. Keep on keepin on.
  15. Meditation. Also... not judging or having so many opinions anymore. I don't get upset... I just move on. Life is so good...if you let it.
  16. You know all the normal stuff... smoking will not help your daughter...etc etc etc.... so I will not spill that. Listen..you are going through something extremely difficult and you are looking for anything that will "help" relax you. And cigarettes are the most attainable legal drug available. It is what makes it so difficult to quit in the first place. Well...one of the reasons. What else do you have? What else can help you relax and help you with the anxiety? Do you have or do breathing exercises? Have you ever tried to meditate? I am new to the meditation world and I cannot believe that someone did not talk to me about this before. It is amazing. There are alot of "Guided Meditation" videos and MP3s out there. It is hard to get started... some don't believe in that mumbo jumbo mindfulness... but I do. Just offering you a suggestion. Take it or leave it..... I hope your situation gets turned around soon and you and your daughter start feeling better. PS. I heard eatables can help with anxiety... that is what a friend told me ;)
  17. Sh it is going to happen to you... now and in the future. It happens to everyone. We have all made it though without smoking...it is possible. Make a plan. What are you going to do when it hits the fan other than smoking? What is going to get you through the anxiety or stress? And do that instead of smoking. You have got to eliminate smoking as an option in your life.... you have got to get your mind right or you will continue to fail. Where is you confidence?
  18. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Dog is present.... sorry no wifi in the pound. I smell pig.
  20. When you get through all of the initial bullshat that comes with quitting... you might be surprised how much smoking actually caused your anxiety and depression. Can't comment on the depression...but my anxiety was cut in half once I got a hold of my quit. Don't be skurred....... be excited and happy about your new life.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
