Here's the thing, there are really good books and really bad books, also, really good movies and really bad movies. A book by default is not better than a movie or vica versa. A good movie is better than a bad book. A good book is better than a bad movie. Movie adaptations of books can be good or bad. If you read the book first you have already pictured what the people look like and generally dislike a movie of it because it doesn't match your interpretation of it. And so on.

Thanks, just didn't work out, no big arguments, we just realised (as we did many years ago) after the honeymoon period faded we just silly bickered about stuff and irritated each other! So we decided it was a fun experiment but should probably end it before we start properly disliking each other!
