  1. Me too! Smelling dust....smells like a wet dog lol
  2. Still a bit short of breath upon exertion and getting a lil concerned. If its not better soon I will go see a doc. Im waiting for my new insurance cards anyway.
  3. Me too! Someone across the street and up a block can light up and I smell it! Yes Hell Week is almost over, tho really the first four days were the worst. Got much easier after that. Tonight around 10pm will be one week since I smoked; when I wake up I will have one week smoke free thx to you guys :-) PS My mantra: I smell pretty! (And look kinda cute today if I do say so myself!)
  4. Friggin NOPE and darn happy about it too!!
  5. Guy just got on and sat behind me...I cant believe how thick the stench is. Unreal. So glad to have quit
  6. And you just reminded me I have some cold Kombucha at home. Thanks!
  7. 2 is the lie

  9. Heinous. Ick. Well its much better today. Yay. One thing I've found that defeats cravings like nothing else is reading reading reading about the tobacco industry and how dangerous the ingredients are. I'm feeling this is gonna be my sticky quit. I'm leaving work in a few, and when my nonsmoking husband comes home Imma kiss him with my clean smelling lips and then tell him to smell my hair. LOL. Thats become a joke between us. "Smell my hair"
  10. I was very short of breath last night. I think I remember reading thats normal. Sore throat today but I believe thats also normal. Anyone else experience this?
  11. Wow. I'm glad we don't smell like that either! We have a whole new world to discover...scented lotion, bath salts, shampoo....wooooohooooo
  12. Cravings and temptations for the fictitious "Just One" keep coming...making me feel like something is just horribly missing and that I MUST smoke. But once I get past it, no matter how real it seems at the time, I feel great. EMotional rollercoaster! Gonna take a brisk walk at lunch, then tomorrow bring my workout clothes and hit the gym! Its the start of a whole brand new life. I had dreams last night that I was slender and healthy. Wheeeeee :-)
  13. ...thoughts of smoking didn't rule my mind. I am on my way to work and I smell pretty!!!! How is everyone this morning?
  14. Thank you so much! Going to the store for some sugarfree candies and gum (Im prediabetic so I have to be careful.) Hope you all had a fab day!
  15. wahoo thanks! I was thinking about you "old timers" earlier today. There must come a time where you very rarely think about or miss it.....right? (please say yes)
  16. Thought maybe Acky was Australian or British slang for a cig or something....
  17. Funny in a sick way that not too long after posting this, I am in the throws of a craving/doubt I want to quit. OF COURSE I want to quit or I wouldn't have come this far. NicoDemon, go back to your cage.
  18. OMG am I really going to remain free this time? Wooooooo :D :D :D :D :D
  19. Thats it then. Gas Stations=gum, rubbers and tampons.
  20. I assume it means the cigarette counter...just never heard that term acky before. Its cute. Saw a young man standing out in the rain this morning so he could smoke and thought six days ago, that was meeeeeee. So glad I can stay in where its warm and dry.
  21. Nice Warrior. Have u ever lit one and then thought "darn....thats not what I wanted"? Thats disappointing when you are a full time smoker. Imagine what it would be like after a smokefree month! So glad you didnt give in! Remembering that sickly, nauseating sour chemical smell helps me.
  22. Welcome back! Glad youre back. Hugs!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
