Sorry that maybe allergies are kicking in. BUT what you said about smelling OMG you'll be sooooooooooooo amazed over what you've been missing. Don't be surprise if you end up changing perfume cause of it, plus you won't be spraying so much on you as before trying to cover that nasty @ss cig smell. This is just the tip of the iceburg of good things to come cause you cut the cord of your addiction.

People tend to throw away quits on wkends/or while drinking. The addict in ALL of us prays for chances like this to tempt a person to smoke. Embrace the mantra NOPE-it will keep you cig free.
-
Trust us Jules, NONE of US or at least very few of us would be free for some yrs if being quit was always suckey like it is early into your quit. Basically having it be "painful" is nicodemon's way of brainwashing you into returning to the smoking team. Just keep a diary about how thing are so down the road when things get sooooooooooooooooooooo much better you won't get cocky & think you can cheat. This is why we harp about NOPE all the time-trust me one puff & you're right back at zero days free.

:dash2: :dash2: My Favorite fight topic........To me all vaping is good for to brainwash addicts into thinking they're kicking their habit when all they are doing is switching delivery systems. I'M thankful my heart dr. didn't suggest vaping but instead forced me to quit cause I bet I'd be a hard core vappar instead of Queen of Freedom. Also I think I have that COPD so why in the hell would I want to coat my lungs with slime. :dash2: :dash2:

Queen Greenlover (Beth) Has A New Role...
queen greenlover replied to MarylandQuitter's topic in Introductions & About Us
I'm glad I was asked to do something more. Looking up lost souls & relaying their names so a email saying "Hey we miss you" just might be that little personal touch to get them to return & better still Quit Again. After ALL those of us who are free know how hard or tiring it can be & while some "quit sites" are more concerned with the THOUSANDS ON THEIR MEMBER LIST-This is NOT the goal of this quit site. MQ invented & paid for this site not only as a refuge for those kicked to the curb from QSMB site but as a way to show just like with our quits NOT every site is alike. We need to reach out to those who aren't here, after all if that person doesn't give a "rat's @ss" they will ignore it but just maybe it will be the nudge some need to return. - 41 replies

Friday 19th September - Scotland said NOPE
queen greenlover replied to El Bandito's topic in The Daily NOPE Pledge
No smoking for me this friday. -
I'm getting the internet next wk & thru my son's game system either do Hula or whatever. Decided to do away with HBO etc. Sure I like movies but seeing "old" shows like Dark Shadows & Lost in Space would be a blast from the past & my kid said he'd get me a Blu-Ray player so I can watch stuff in my rm. Now I'm hoping when they upgrade computers here at work they give me a deal after all that was my big goal for quitting smoking to reward myself with a computer so I can overdose on You Tube videos.

I relapsed and didnt even know it...
queen greenlover replied to slovenka177's topic in Quit Smoking Discussions
Sweetie-just like it TOOK TIME to become that HARD CORE Daily Smoker it takes time to disengage from that mindset. Even tho you don't think its possible to get cig free IT IS & guess what the rewards/pluses are so rewarding BUT you need to give it time. For some it takes 4 months to accept & love being free for some diehards it takes longer. Trust me if it wasn't great being cig free NONE of us would be here.  -

Sweet what a gift huh?? -
For sure the 2nd anny is so much easier to attain. Congrats. And feels just as great as the first one.

I'm so glad I own the first 4 seasons.  Planning my "special" treats for the start of the season.
-
I debated about watching this since this is a yr long show. To me its a combo of Survivor/Big Brother so unless you like those 2 shows you may not care for this show. FRom what I read this show may be getting the ax real quick.

I truly get the 6 wks of freedom, feeling good & thinking YOU can control "your habit" lit up & find yourself once again smoking just as much as before this quit. I just hope you do this on your own cause I'm afraid even if a health issue crops up that won't stop you either. Realize this never ending cycle is killing you. I wonder if part of your problem is the NEVER EVER GETTING TO SMOKE AGAIN scaring you into NOT succeeding.

I'm printing this for my work closet wall-thanks.

Wow thats a cool idea, I'd like to get it as an audio book this one & Under the Dome. I would love to listen to books at work, music is all right but after 13 yrs I need a break. :dash2:

What a sad day. All those working joes killed & for what??? :dash2: :dash2:

I sooooooooooooooooo can't wait for the new season to start,at least The Leftovers & Masters of Sex helped to sort of fill the gap.
-
I agree BUT........making those dummies of those taken was a nice wakeup call.

Thats super great, thanks for posting this for those like me who figure its a lost cause. :dash2: :dash2:

-
Join me as I choose for today NOT to have a nasty cig & ruin & throw away my quit. You can pledge to join me & let's be cig free together.
-
I trust you are doing well & enjoying your 7 months of freedom. :D
-
Wow-never when I first joined a quit site did I ever think I would "really" quit. I guess I figured I'd have another heart attack instead. But with encouragement & tough love (@ss kicking) I finally got with the program & listened & trusted those with a yr or more of quit time. Trust me those having doubts or struggling-I so hated having to quit smoking in fact those early days I "really" wished I'd had died then be smoke free. Please don't wait for a close relative to die or have a big health issue yourself BEFORE getting your head out of your @ss. You will be so happy you got free, you'll wish you'd done it sooner.
