  7. You get 30 pieces of fruit to eat or throw at somebody I insert a storm sewer
  8. Well over 20 years ago. When was the last time you stubbed your toe?
  9. Only you can see that (besides the mods). It's a box that you checked when you registered or sometime afterwards on how you found us.
  10. It's just a state of mind when you let panic set in because getting rid of the nicotine is not going to hurt you. Stay close to the board and remember you're a non-smoker. You don't need cigarettes for anything.
  11. Congrats, my friend. It just keeps getting better and better doesn't it? :yahoo:
  12. Work for me. Add in a double for good measure.
  13. You get a sour face. I insert a brick.
  14. http://cheekybeagle.com/?project=the-marlboro-man
  15. I don't know how I missed this especially with a trip to Yellowstone being mentioned! I remember sometimes that I would look at people smoking and thought "they get to smoke and I don't." Now when I see people smoking I realize that they have to smoke and I don't. Until I quit, I didn't fully realize the life of slavery and misery that I accepted as my normal. I always felt like garbage (and smelled like it) and just thought it was normal. Man, the lies of nicotine addiction keep millions in slavery.
  16. I knew that there was no way I was going to be a smoker for the rest of my life but unless I got serious about quitting, I most likely would be. Living with the guilt because I knew what I was putting my only body through. You only get one. Quit and let the healing begin.
  17. It made sense once I read it but my initial reaction was one of "what the hell happened to Andrew that he threw his quit away?" Glad you're okay with your strong quit intact. :)
  18. I remember watching Peter Jennings say to the world that he had lung cancer. I can remember that as if it were yesterday. I remember thinking "he sure doesn't look like a smoker much less sound like one." That was a good article. Thanks for posting it, Nancy.
  19. I'm right there beside ya, Evelyn. I'm not going to smoke either!
  20. You're right, Andrew, no need for anybody to disappear. There is no requirement to be a non-smoker to be here. When people relapse the best thing they can do is get back here start again. Yeah, it's hard to make that thread when you've relapsed. I've been there and had to do it myself but the uncomfortable feeling doesn't last and you soon start to feel normal again. It doesn't matter if somebody quit smoking the first time out of the gate or it took them 1000 tries before they finally quit for good. The only quit that matters is the current one because it's the only one any of us have any control over. If you've relapsed, please don't put off climbing back on board because it's easier to stay quit when you're surrounded by others who can help you along the way. PS, the title of this thread might be better to read "If You're Smoking Again". I thought that you smoked!!! B)
  21. NOPE again. Is there a law against pledging twice in one day? I read through the bylaws and didn't see anything.
  22. You get a flashing red light indicating that's it's not 1965 and you need to enter one more dollar to get something. I insert a karoke machine
  23. If laughing with tears running down my face from laughing so hard, today with my 5 year old daughter when I was listening to her talking to my Mom on the phone. The stuff kids come up with. :) When was the last time you had a fire drill?
  24. Probably 25 years ago. When was the last time you went canoing?
  25. About 4 years ago. When was the last time you chopped firewood?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
