  3. Congrats, Gemzee! Thank you for being here.
  4. Sometimes people quit just because they want to stop killing themselves and really have no other reason to quit other than that. If even they don't want to quit, they do it anyway because it's just time. You're right, the cycle is relentless and vicious. Sometimes when we know we must do something because it's the right thing for us to do but really would rather just put it off for another day, year or decade, we just have to say f*ck it and drive on. Don't want to quit right now because you don't think you have the determination? F*ck it and take care of business. Got a crave? Same thing. Newness of the quit wore off? Same thing. That little saying is what I live by. lol When things suck, get hard or wish I wasn't having to deal with something I just say f*ck it. What else can you do sometimes? F*ck it, just quit.
  5. No smoking on the train so I couldn't even if I wanted to. NOP,eva
  6. Welcome to Quit Train and congrats on making the decision to quit. Anybody can quit and so can you. Don't hope, just do it. No matter how bad you want to smoke, don't. Education about this addiction is the key to quitting. Have you read anything in the Newbie Database? There is a wealth of good information to be read, smoking/tobacco documentaries to watch and other pinned topics that will be extremely helpful in learning about this addiction and staying quit. Start a thread in Quit Smoking Forum and post in it at least once per day if you can so we can help you along the way. For me, quitting was enjoyable because I focused on the health benefits as soon as I put out my last cigarette. Here are a couple of quick videos to watch. Trust me, you can quit. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TL2Vh7goJc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVEyGdqwjmQ

  15. I never had it but my ex dealt with it but I can't remember what they Dr. put her on to help it. I remember whatever the medication was, it worked. Hope you feel better and never have it again.
  16. I know I must seem like a different person to my family because I don't always have to run out in the middle of things to catch a smoke. I sure was selfish to feed that addiction no matter what was going on. Middle of a funeral I would slip out for a smoke. Middle of family time with the kids, I'll be right back. Good conversation after a nice meal, sorry to cut you short but I'll be right back. The list can go on for pages. My entire daily routine changed in the sense that my day doesn't revolve around smoking anymore. Plus, I don't stink anymore. I know that I can get through anything without a cigarette. I've been through some rather low times and I didn't want to smoke. I thought about it because it's what I did for so many years but want to? Nope.
  17. Freedom. It's feels pretty good, doesn't it? :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
