  1. First, the cream cheese is where you're getting most of the fat calories from. Second, how much of it do you eat? I asked you how many calories.
  2. Unbelievable.
  3. What kind of freaking sushi are you eating? How many calories? Where are you getting your information from?
  4. It's Helltown, Ohio. Creepy. I had to Google it because I never heard of it. How did you hear of it? That is the scary part. :girl_witch:
  5. :help: Just eat the sushi. It's low cal. Is it not? I bought a pack from Wegman's last week and the whole thing was under 300 cals. Life is too short. Eat the sushi and don't fuss over the difference of a 100 calories.
  6. I get so much alumni stuff in the mail. lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHk84a-9c8Y
  7. That is beautiful part of Ohio. Have you ever seen the outdoor play "Tecumseh"? It's in Chillicothe. I've seen it 3 times and loved it. Back when I was in college (Kent State University) I was really into Allen Eckert's books and after I read "The Frontiersman" about Simon Kenton, Tecumseh and others about the settling of Ohio, I had to see the play. The horses, gunfire etc., awesome!!! If you haven't seen it, I would highly recommend it.
  8. One wife, 2 daughters. Enough to make a believer out of anybody. lol
  9. Not just what is going to come out, but how it comes out, the look on your face when it comes out, the "tone" when it comes out, if you're making eye contact when it comes out, if you have food in your mouth when it comes out, if you yawn when it comes out, if you look at somebody else when it comes out...too many things to consider so it's just easier to send text messages.
  10. :acute:
  11. That would be unethical. [1] Footnotes: [1] Liking your own posts that is. lol
  12. :negative:
  13. The cabin looks awesome. I like the tree house cabins but if it were windy...wouldn't want my coffee to spill. Are the cabins anywhere near Mohican State Park? I've been there several times canoing, hiking, camping etc. Another favorite place of mine is Shawnee State Park/Forest in Portsmouth, OH. Spent a lot of time there hunting and camping when I was younger. I don't know about the ziplining though. As long as I hovered 20' or less from the ground, I'd be fine. Otherwise, I'd be drinking a cup of coffee back at the cabin. :bye:
  14. Numpty is the twice removed cousin of Humpty. You get 100 likes per day but I think somebody ran out (like who can run out of that many in one day?) so I had to increase the amount to either 150 or 200. Whose the numpty? I think I am. lol :spining_stars:
  15. She never gives up on anything and is a hard worker. Despite stress, keeps a positive attitude. Very intelligent, in good shape and isn't afraid to try new things. I can sell anything. :hi:
  16. I will not smoke today.
  17. 1. Cut the grass 2. Cut a mountain bike trail through the woods 3. Read a book and learn something new 4. Take time to listen to quiet. Shut off the TV, computer and phone and just close my eyes and listen. 5. Look at my short-term goals and see where I stand 6. Cook something new on the grill 7. Clay bar and do some paint correcting on my commuter car (it takes a beating in D.C.) 8. Workout, run or do something to move get the old bones moving 9. Walk around a garden center or nursery and find something new to grow 10. Call my old man and catch up (old man is a term of endearment with my Dad and I) 11. Prepare my meals for the week so I'm not stuck having to "get something quick to eat" and have fresh, unprocessed food to eat 12. Disassemble the cooking surface down to the burners of the grill to clean and inspect.
  18. Don't ever lose this attitude towards smoking. It sucks. It stinks. It kills. You're doing great and are doing all the right things to stay quit. :)
  19. I cringe whenever I hear somebody say that they're "going to try and quit smoking". I guess I cringe because it reminds me of myself and my failed attempts. Trying something should be reserved for things like bungee jumping, roller skating, different types of food etc., not something that is going to impact the rest of your life and is a matter of life or death. It's not hard to quit. We will make it as hard or easy and we want to, but make no mistake about it, trying it out for size ain't gonna cut it.
  20. If you're wondering if you can do something, chances are you're only giving it 50% of your best effort. If you BELIEVE that can and will quit, you will. Aside from alcohol, I think stress is the biggest obstacle for people to deal with and not smoke. Alcohol is a choice but stress isn't. We all had to get it through our heads that smoking does not relieve stress. It's impossible that it can. Once you understand why you smoke it's a whole lot easier to never pick them up again. Like Rob asks people all the time. Where did you get the cigarettes from? When I relapsed, I had been listening to junkie thinking for about two weeks and finally went and bought a pack to relieve stress. Guess what? It didn't relieve anything and only added to the stress that I was already under. You see, I was 9 months quit, read Allen Carr, participated in support groups, had "quit buddies" and the whole nine yards and still relapsed. The reason was because I still believed that I got something positive from smoking. Since the lie was exposed, that 1 pack I smoked - I can say with 100% certainty that I didn't enjoy a single puff. That pack lasted me a week and even though I was still looking for my old friend who used to get me through the tough times, I realized I had been lied to and I was gullible enough to fall for it again, despite the knowledge and support. It never helped me with anything. Not one time. 99% of the time you don't want to smoke but at best, only 50% of you believes that you can quit. Right now you're taking the path of least resistance which is why you continue to smoke. Start changing the way you look at yourself and smoking. I will tell you with 100% certainty that you can quit smoking for good. Pledge not to smoke every single day and be as active as you can on the forum. Little things like this will help you more than you can ever realize. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swdfSNiud8I
  21. Congrats, Sharon!!
  22. See, it's 99% mental at this point. Can't go wrong with the coffee either. :)
  23. Hope you're okay. Running on an incline will help prepare you for running outside during the race.
  24. That's great, rowly. Life is so much better without that filthy habit in it.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
