  1. Should I Reset My Quit Meter? Video stresses the importance of drawing a clear line in the sand regarding the issue of whether a person should reset their quit meter if they ever take a puff off of a cigarette, or really deliver nicotine via any tobacco product or other nicotine containing device. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isfzV-Gmshk Related videos: "Don't let a slip put you back to using" https://youtu.be/0cfxzB804S4 Reading at other quit sites https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W2IJ... 7. I think I read a post of yours the other day about getting ready for some tough love. Perhaps you subconsciously were referring to yourself. So you're choosing this road...again. "Woe is me", Susana. You've sewn the seeds of relapse and now you're watering them. You're not a danger to anyone's quit but your own. What controversy have you stayed away from? I don't see any of that here, only excuses for you to use to rationalize staying away from your support group when things get tough and the inevitable relapse which always follows.. Tuck your chin and keep pressing forward. You have a choice. Either you choose to smoke or quit. If you choose to smoke, you get all the crap that comes along with it.

  17. Glad to hear it, Roland! Post wherever you like I just missed your update and wanted to be nosy and make sure everything was okay. :)
  18. I noticed that you haven't been too active lately and just wanted to see if all is well with you. Please let us know if you need anything. Doesn't matter if you went back to smoking or not as we're here to help you. Hope to hear from you soon...
  19. Welcome, whackamole! Glad you found us. I used Wellbutrin XL and it took me ~3 weeks or so before I went off of it. It did it's mysterious trick and made me nauseous to smoke. Made me very, very irritable though and I couldn't even stand to be around myself. lol It work and although I told my doctor I didn't want it, I'm glad I took his advice and tried it. The most challenging part about staying quit is letting ourselves enjoy everything that we did as smokers, as non-smokers. I've been thinking about this for days now because a lot of members have been having these issues. Not cravings per se, but triggers that can lead to them. Glad to have ya on the train! :)

  24. Ava, you're my kin so I can tell you this. Stop ******* around with your calories and stick with what you know to be the truth! Skip to the 4:00 mark in the video and please watch. You've seen this before, but you need to reel yourself back in and do the healthy thing. Get back to doing what you know works. Me, yeah, I need to get back into shape and shed some pounds but I'm going to do it by eating and exercising the way I know works and how I got results. Again, skip to the 4 min mark, please. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5C3uqA1yRI&list=TL4NEkg3bJAhZ_s_doPosfi5t9X4sUsX4B
  25. It's this key.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
