Still working on trying to increase this. It's a nice thing when ya run out of likes. :) I'll let you know if it can be increased and to what amount but I assume I can set the amount to whatever I want. Is an endless amount enough?

Is that as scary as it was made out to be? I don't want to watch it and be so freaked out that I stay up all night with the lights on watching ESPN or something. lol -
Awesome post from an awesome person. Inner strength is not something that you lack, my friend. :)

Quit Train's Coffee Aficionado Thread
MarylandQuitter replied to MarylandQuitter's topic in Socializing
If I'm visiting somebody and they offer me coffee the first thing I ask is how long has it been sitting. If the answer is something like only a couple of hours, I politely say no thanks. Then if they ask if I want a fresh pot, I ask what their brewing process is and if they say "WHAT?", I politely say I'll just have some of that dirty dishwater swill that's in your sink and save you the trouble of brewing that cup of steaming shit you were about to feed me. hahahahaha Just kidding. If I drink cheapo coffee, I get bad indigestion. I can only have the too stuff, brewed properly. I make it strong and everybody says I make it too strong, but it's the only way for me. Fresh, black and strong. No froo-froo in it either. Black like the coal I used to work around. :)- 15 replies

Hi All! There is a button at the top of the page, same place where the chat button is located. It will show you the current month as well as all the rest. You can add any event that you want, have it repeat each month etc. When you pull the calendar up, click on "add event" and it guides you through the rest. It is accessible through the mobile version as well. Personally, I don't like mobile versions of websites but I know a lot of people do. At the bottom of the mobile version, there is a button that says "use full version". This will show the site as if you were on a desktop, laptop etc.

Hi Andrew! The tickets are free on this train. And so is the coffee. :) Glad to have you here! :)

I love my coffee! If it sits longer than 20 minutes after being brewed, it get's tossed. I currently use the Bonavita Exceptional Brew. After two years of use and at least 3 times per day, it still functions as it did when it was new. No clock, no auto brew timer etc. Just a straight up copper heating element (versus plastic) and it does what it's supposed to do; brew the perfect up of coffee because "Geat coffee doesn't just happen". I grind my beans before each brew. I want my coffee the best it can be. At this time, current SCAA Certified Home Brewers are: Technivorm Moccamaster Bunn HG Home Brewer Bonavita 8 Cup Exceptional Brew Coffee Maker with glass or thermal carafe SCAA's Minimum Certification Requirements for Coffee Brewers in .pdf format SCAA_Certification_Req_Home_Brewer.pdf

That's awesome news!!! Just remember to focus on the initial health benefits of quitting when you get a crave. Stay close to your support group and remember to post an SOS if you're thinking that you can't hold on. We'll be here to grab ya before you light one up. Remember the rule of 3's. Here's a good video and it works. It's about dieting and eating but applies just as much to quitting smoking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEnHzV9XpL0 -
You can enter it in your profile but can also enter it on the calendar. When you enter it on the calendar, you can also enter your one week anny, one month etc. More about the calendar here. :)

This is an example of exposing the lies of smoking. The more lies that are exposed, the more courage people will have to ditch this deadly addiction. Awesome post!

21 months...lot's of knowledge in such long quits and I'm glad you're hear to share it. Had it not been for support from former smokers, I don't think I would be quit today because there is a lot to learn to stay quit. GR8 post! -
Hello All!! The calendar is here for everyone to use. You can add in your own dates for whatever and it will show up as the date approaches. There are a gazillion different things you can do with it, so you'll just have to play around with it and see what works for you. :) What I'm working on doing is when members register and put in their quit date, I'd like the date to automatically track in the calendar so as each 1 month anniversary approaches, it will pop up in the upcoming events. This is by no way meant to replace making a new thread to celebrate for somebody. It's just a handy tool to track quick dates so we make sure that nobody slips through the cracks. If I can't figure out how to do this (if it can even be done), I'll contact a programmer and if it can be done, I'll hire him/her to write the code for it to work this way.
