  1. I'll answer this for her since I'll tell the truth. No. It wasn't like that at all. She took it upon herself to call. The number wasn't in the back of the book like she claims. She Googled it and got the wrong A. Carr and got the grandmother. The new US version of the book says to please not contact the author or contributors of the book and instead reach one of their clinics.
  2. Did it hurt when you fell from heaven? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gw-Amu4IGW4
  3. When she first told of this story she was serious like it was normal or something. I told her I would have taken that little nugget to the grave. lol
  4. What about my  ?
  5. Have you lifted anything/ wait. Have you stoled anything in the last 2 years?
  6. I left the house specifically to buy smokes. After I bought them I couldn't get the wrapper off quick enough. Then I stuck one in my lips and time seemed to come to a crawl. I looked in my rear view and saw myself and thought how stupid I looked. I thought about my quit, my quit buddies and knew I was making mistake. But I also thought that I enjoyed smoking. Once I lit it, everything Allen Carr said I realized was true for me. I didn't get any enjoyment from any single puff that I took from that pack. I was analyzing, waiting for that joyous reunion with my old friend, but he stood me up. When I smoked my last cigarette I was at work. My initial thought when I put out my last cigarette was I didn't really know if it would really be my last. It wasn't until I sat and reflected on those cigarettes and realized that not only did I don't enjoy them like I previously thought (or erroneously thought I had), I was still left with the same mess that I thought smoking would help me cope with. It did nothing to help my situation and I was left with the consequence of blowing a 9 month quit and becoming very close to a full blown addiction again.
  7. What did exactly did you tell him? lol
  8. Lifted? What is this a 1972? You stole those ear rings and I'm not buying it was in the 2nd grade either. What second grader thinks about ear rings and just has to have them to point that they commit larceny to get them? I always pegged you for a pickpocket.
  9. If my name was Jack and I was on a roof and the ladder fell...
  10. Have you ever shoplifted?
  11. Isn't it true that you asked the woman in London if you could please speak to Mr. Carr and she told you that her grandson did not live there? I have been cursed at in probably every language there is except for Latin. I take that back. My Dr. said something to me once that I didn't understand.
  12. I would take a sip to be polite and never pick it back up.
  13. These questions are bananas. Why ask what I already toled you?
  14. Yes, of course. Got into a heated argument with a guy at work over it. He said his wife knew more about vacuums than I did and I flat our told him that her little Hoover or whatever it was he was bragging about, was not cleaning their carpets very well. True story. lol
  15. We're actually related. It's a joke that I make and the rest of the family doesn't see the humor in it. My Mom keeps telling me that it's uncomfortable at family get togethers when I constantly ask her out. They take things too seriously.
  16. How come all I hear are crickets?
  17. Well worth every single penny!!
  18. Isn't it true that the woman you reached was Allen Carr's Grandmother? Isn't it true that you woke her up in the middle of the night and she snipped at you? Isn't this the reason that you speak unkindly of this woman? Have you ever used a chicken wing for smoking cessation?
  19. I had a job where I traveled a ton and did U.S. Patent administration and enforcement all over the United States (mostly in New England) and all over Canada from Niagara Falls north and all the way over to British Columbia.
  20. Never even heard of it. lol I'm going to have to Google that.
  21. Do you like it when somebody asks you the same question when you've already answered it?
  22. The Union Oyster House in Boston. Have you ever eaten there?
  23. WOOT WOOT!!!! I've seen Gordon Lightfoot at least a dozen times in concert and met him in North Carolina. I also got to watch him tune his guitar and warm up by himself before a concert in Cleveland, Ohio. "The Watchman's Gone" has always been my favorite song of his. Of all the concerts of his that I've been too, he never played it except for one time. I cried. Right there during the concert. Not just tears, but actually cried. It's a very special song to me and to finally hear it live and wasn't expecting it, was a bit overwhelming for me. I guess it's one of the reasons why that song is pinned to the top of the forum. :) What do you drive (car, suv, truck, minivan etc.)?
  24. Love The Stand by King. Do you like the band Social Distortion (one of my favorites)?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
