  2. This was announced today . An improved anti-smoking drug called Varenicline is being rolled out by England's National Health Service (NHS). The pill is more effective than nicotine-replacement gum or patches, and as effective as vapes, in helping people to stop smoking, according to NHS England. This is great news

  3. Gday Yep I’ll put my hand up …..I had a chemically enhanced quit! I took Champix! 50 years of cold turkey, patches gum….. nothing. Now I’m 9 years nicotine free! My decision then was Take the champix Or keep smoking and die of a smoke related illness I took the less scarey one

  6. Many folks on here have had a smoking dream , and have been so relieved when reality has set in . I never did have one of those dreams , maybe deep down in my conscience I knew I couldn’t smoke again due to fear of amputation. I can only imagine how pleased and relieved you were QG your precious quit was safe

  7. 3 Bass strait…. Could not find a more dangerous patch of water. The wheather rips across the bottom of the world. Hits the shallow Great Australian Bight where the big swells form. Then they are funnelled between Tasmania and mainland Australia. Add a local low pressure system that has its own waves that can travel in a different direction to the big swells. That’s a very dangerous combination. Bass straits a place that you have to respect, been caught out in bass strait before and it’s not fun.

  9. A German Shepherd, a Doberman and a cat all died within minutes of one another. All 3 are now faced with God & he wants to know what they believe in. The German Shepherd says "I believe in discipline, training and loyalty to my master". "Good" says God. "You may sit down on my right side". The Doberman says "I believe in the love, care and protection of my master". "Wonderful" says God. You may sit on my left side. God leans forward and looks at the cat and asks "So what do you believe in?" The cat answers, "I do believe that you are sitting in my seat".

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
