  2. Wow, you’ve had a rugged stretch, @Brioski! So very sorry for your loss. Stay strong. You know the idea that smoking would be comforting is an illusion. Take good care of yourself by protecting your hard-earned, beautiful quit.

  4. So sorry to hear this Brioski. You've been through so much in a short time. Yes! About smoking being an illusion of "relief". There's no magical relief from difficult emotions or situations (without severe repercussions), and you will push through smoberly as you have been doing amazingly! Xo

  8. I’m sorry for your loss, Bri. Just keep turning your mind away from those pesky thoughts. The old Bri may have caved but not this strong new Bri we see! I mean you’ve kicked Nicodemons butt, laughed in Big Tobacco’s face and slammed the door shut on it. You’ve got this!

  12. @David Percival, I'm not really sure why you're here if you're so adamant about remaining a smoker. Maybe another forum would be better for you but if you ever decide you'd like to quit smoking we'll be here to help you along the way.

  15. Another wake tonight, funeral tomorrow…hubs’ grandma, I feel bad for him. I’ve known her for 18 years. Waves of the illusion of smoking/relief have been strong . This is hard y’all. I know others are going through it, too.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
