  3. You’re exactly right - how can we have just wasted so much money? He is aware of the cost but I am not mentioning a word to him - I know he is happy that I have quit and supports me, but he’s not there yet! I’m sure he’s not too far away from making his own decision!

  12. You are doing so great, @Slow progress! I love that you're being real about the cravings and ups and downs, but have taken smoking totally off the table as a response to them. That's the foundation of a really strong quit. @Boo once said, "There are a million things you CAN do in response to a craving, and just one you can't - stick something in your mouth and set it on fire." Good on you for embracing all the other possibilities!

  13. That is great news SP. Did you show your hubby your ticker? If he smokes as much as you did you guys will be around $1200.00 a month richer! ☺

  15. Well you all had more faith Than I did! it’s funny with the cravings because I have no desire to smoke! If I am bad I just sniff my husbands ashtray - it’s really bad! I think he will be following in my footsteps pretty soon - fingers crossed. Met my smoking friend for a dog walk this morning with a cuppa - enjoyed being a non smoker.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
