I wonder how often I would remember that I used to smoke if I were not reminding myself every morning in order to pledge NOPE? This morning I came across this gif, and it's going to come in handy as a visual when I want to forget things like seeing a piece of chocolate cream pie in the deli at work. (I work in an organic grocery store with a superb deli and bakery.) Thought I'd share it...if you are new to quitting, if seeing someone light up causes the desire to do the same... Hi @Kate18! Your post made me laugh and gave me hope. While I haven’t had a day that I haven’t thought about smoking, years ago while me and hubby watched men in black I had a thought of wow, wouldn’t this thing be a lifesaver, literally, in helping a smoker become a nonsmoker (ideally me and my dad who was a heavy smoker, he passed in dec 2021 and miss him dearly…he was the kindest and best man, and daddy, ever). I hope and am looking forward to a day when remembering I smoked, or a cig itself for that matter, is a fleeting thought.3 points

Hi Brioski and thanks i don’t feel proud - I feel so ashamed and embarrassed that I keep failing at this thing! going back to smoking - the first one felt great - just like an old friend came back - I was straight back up to a pack a day and hated every single one after that first one - that feeling that you are just killing yourself one day at a time! sitting outside in the rain when I could have been inside with my family and constantly checking my oxygen levels to try and convince myself that because they were pretty good then I was somehow immune to the damage that smoking would do! It’s all a bit pathetic really… well done to you and try your hardest to get through the bad times so that you’re not me - starting again at day 1 and feeling like a loser! Thanks for the welcome again - felt embarrassed to even post again given my spectacularly bad effort1 point
