  2. Yep bechamel is easy and so very adaptable.... use coconut oil (the solid type) and add some ginger, curry and garlic to a bechemal for a quick curry base add to use up (left over) chicken meat and steamed veggies...quick easy meal.

  3. You got it!! Instead of butter as your oil component, you use the sausage drippings/grease and add your flour to that. Same thing with fried chicken or chicken fried steak. Drain most of the grease you cook the meat in and reserve enough to make your roux in the desired amount. Same thing as a bechamel. Some people in the US south crumble the sausage into the gravy or cook it crumbled to be in the gravy. My family always wanted the sausage served on the side. Bechamel, sounds fancy but it is not. I use it for the base of so many things.

  10. Mine was pretending I was holding an invisible cigarette in my fingers and going through the motions of "smoking" it. Taking deep drags and exhaling. It worked great at tricking my mind into thinking it was getting the real thing. Some people use pen casings, cut straws, even licorice whips

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
