Good Morning Quit Trainers. Last night I dreamed I smoked two cigarettes with a friend (long-time smoking companion). Before I had the third, the thought was to post an admission, to let @jillar and @Doreensfree know I fell off the train but was going to get right back on. I felt super disconcerted until I realized it was a dream. The best part though is that my QT buddies have apparently infiltrated my deep subconscious. Thank you!

I had issues with smoking dreams too. I guess it makes sense since smoking was such a big part of who we were that it would still be part of our subconscious. I think it is normal. The important thing is that you didn't smoke in the real, awake world. Keep up the great work.
  8. WI spose this is the Aussie version of a Tom Waits' style of Chrissy song...

It was cool and rainy here. We didn't have anything pressing. So, just hung out at the house all day. The most excitement we had was letting our one-year old daughter paint a wooden Christmas ornament. Exciting in that giving a toddler access to paint always involves a level of risk. She painted Santa Claus. Didn't go with the traditional red suit. She had eight colors and used them all. Now we have a tie-dye Santa...he looks like he used to follow the Grateful Dead. Lazy days are good from time-to-time.

I’ve noticed that since the pandemic, My anxiety issues have worsened. I’ve even become rather reclusive, and I am usually pretty social. In order to get through each day, relatively unscathed, I rely on ritual and routine. I even exercise, at the same time, each day. I often resort to deep breathing exercises. I keep my mind engaged with various hobbies. Following a self imposed schedule seems to help me remain calmer. I’ve read that mental health issues are much more common , since the pandemic, especially among young people. It’s awful to be so isolated. Some people carry on, as though the world hasn’t turned upside down. Maybe they are the smart ones. Being very scientifically minded, I can’t do that. I avoid going out, and when I do, I am always masked. Being an RN, I only wear N-95’s. I just ordered a bunch more. I absolutely hate this pandemic, but have to deal with it the best I can. We are all in the same boat…. Kat
