God I loved that walk down memory lane, my first was a Cherry red MG Hatch back, Man I felt special in that car chrome spoked rims with a spinner lug and duel side draft carburetors an little 2000 engine. My wife and I rolling down the coast and the hardest question we had was which way to turn on to PCH. A time to be in love, Truly in Love3 points

Vietnamese coleslaw.... finely shredded cabbage and carrott (or greated carrot), thinly sliced spring onion, shredded left over roast chook (or Quorn substitute, or a shredded steamed chicken breats or prawns), julienne cucumber, coriander leaves (optional), toss together with a little bit of Vietnamese salad dressing... I get this one from...Coles or Woolies in the Asian section, the brand is Pandaroo. Coconut Coleslaw....is finely shredded cabbage, carrott, finely sliced capsicum strips, toasted shredded coconut (just chuck a handful in a frypan and toss until golden), grilled Pineapple chunks (I do them in a pan with a sprinkle of allspice and paprika then when they are a bit browned I chuck in a splash of rum and glaze until all the rum has cooked off)....once Pineapple is cooled toss together and add lemon or lime juice and a crack of pepper.2 points

What to say, as usual you have provided much motivation for me! You are fierce, strong, determined and that is your sucess. We are blessed that you have chosen to share these things with us. It is so much easier to be with someone on a road trip, that will drive the journey when you must rest. That lifts us up with their strength. And most of all you will always be here helping us stay on the path to a better life.2 points

Omg...salivating. I love me some lemon myrtle. Over winter I took to chucking a couple of leaves in milk (oat for me) in a pan on the stove, warming the milk and adding a handful of white or milk chocolate buds (none for me, but I'd add some Activite) and stirring till they melted...best hot choccie ever.a few crushed in a jug of ginger beer or lemon cordial goes down well too. Um @Cbdave...after thought but isn't the lack of Bundy in your house grounds for handing in your queenslander card? Oh and glad you liked the coleslaw alternative.1 point

OOOH, those memories and now we struggle to get to the bathroom. It went by so fast, did not seem like it at the time but looking back we woke up one morning, able to join AARP, retire and go on medicare. All I can say is WTF! I kept telling my son these are your glory years so pay attention and enjoy before the real adulting begins. Well he is adulting now and finding it not as easy as he thought it was going to be. What did he think his Dad and I were doing all those years...flying off to the south of France on our jet. No, we were going to the market shopping food sales, coming up with the money for soccer, private trumpet lessons, paying for school trips, paying the cost for his braces. We would have sold a kidney for that kid. Now he really gets it as his friends have college loans to pay off but he does not because we always planned and saved for his college.Hopefully we taught him well so he will do okay.1 point

Just a side note for you that missed dinner, I think I am getting my mojo back, probably the best lasagna I have cooked in ten years. Guess that happens when your sadness takes a day off and let's you be happy in the kitchen.1 point

For a while I would forget to pledge because I wasn't thinking about smoking. I thought, "well, forgetting to pledge because I'm not thinking of smoking is a good thing." No, it isn't a good thing. Nicotine addiction is serious. We may not think of it as serious because cigarettes are legal, but it is a life-destructive addiction. No, every day, I want to reaffirm that I am nicotine free, that I don't smoke, that I have beat addiction. Every day I post a pledge that I will not smoke. It is on my calendar now, for the past few weeks, to post my pledge that I will not smoke. Not One Puff, Ever.1 point
