I remember when Babs, jenny, Sarge, Jonny5, Christobal and others were just starting. Literally only a a few weeks. Now they have 9 years and some are a couple of months away from 10 years. It can be done and will be done if you Never take another puff....keep the quit and not one puff ever.4 points

I hope that things are better for you Monday! . My smoking was masking some severe anxiety issues I didn’t even realize that I have. I’ve smoked since I was 15. I knew that I had issues, I just had no clue how bad they are until I quit smoking. Over time it’s lessened exponentially, but I still have triggers that will have me a heap of tearful uselessness in a heartbeat. I’m dreading the holiday season this year as I suffer from SAD, but I do have hope that there will be enough time between my quit and then that I will muddle through as always. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please stay close to us. We are here for you.2 points

Ive had a few moments where mad urges showed up out of nowhere- actually each incident had triggers but they were real and took some self control to get through. I'm confident with my quit though and knowing these will come and pass made it easier. We are with you Linda!1 point

Reading up on how to take care of a cat. There is a cat that has been wandering around my work for a couple of weeks now. He's not a typical stray. Seems more like he was abandoned by previous owners. They declawed him and abandoned him, that seems like a terrible thing to do to a cat. He is still a little standoffish, but is warming up to us. Probably doesn't hurt that at least four of us have been feeding him at different times throughout the day. We're going to need to get some kind of feeding schedule worked out. We've unofficially named him Jerry in honor of a coworker we lost to cancer last year. The cat walks around the dock a lot and never turns down a meal...just like Jerry. So, I guess we have a cat now.1 point

Cristóbal Quit Date: 14 October 2012 Posted May 19, 2016 · When our quits are young, we must learn and then practice in a conscious manner, to disconnect and keep separate our quits from all life events. We learn to always keep our quits sacred, protected, and never influenced by any life event that may happen. This dynamic we may call The Proper Sequence, and it is powered by your commitment to Never.Take.Another.Puff. (NTAP). It does not matter what may happen on any day in your life......as long as you maintain in a conscious manner The Proper Sequence dynamic as a primary element of your quit, you will not smoke. The Proper Sequence is: YOU --> QUIT --> LIFE. •NOT•: YOU --> LIFE --> QUIT. By maintaining this simple sequence dynamic in your quit, you will not ever have your quit influenced by life events. If you always keep your quit close to you, protecting it with your commitment to Never.Take.Another.Puff (NTAP), you will never, *EVER*, smoke again. We build our quits, and train our minds, our emotions, and our spirits to live as non-smokers in beautiful freedom by continuing to commit to NTAP. as our way of not smoking, and our way of slowly putting this awful addiction to sleep. Consciously adding The Proper Sequence dynamic to your new non-smoker identity will strengthen your quit even more.
