  13. Today’s workout was easier than yesterday’s. I kept the same incline and speed: 2.5% and 3.3mph for first 20 minutes, then 12 minutes with 3% incline. I did not pause to rest, at all. It felt good. My heart rate was at 132, when I finished, which is safely in my target zone. So, a job well done. I like to work out at about 4:00 P.M. I have been eating a light breakfast, drinking a low cal/ high protein shake for lunch, and eating a sensible dinner. I will allow myself a small snack, if I so choose. No snack today. It’s nice to work towards a worthwhile goal, which, in my case, is to become more physically fit, and a bit slimmer.

  25. It should be cool enough to walk outside, early in the morning and an hour before sundown. I live in northern CA, and now we have smoke from the fires to deal with. So, I am fortunate to have my treadmill, and central AC. I generally do my workout about 4 PM. Interestingly, no doctor has ever suggested I lose weight. I definitely need to, but they never bring it up. Weird!

  33. Anything to keep the Doctor off my back. I lost 25#s for her, now I have gained most of it back due to the quit. I will be happy when it cools off and I can walk again. K

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
