Welcome back Ray. Good call on giving up the smokes. That is entirely doable. Quitting smoking, like most things in life, is all about the choices we make. Make the right choice.4 points

@Linda I hope the situation that is causing your stress works itself out as soon as possible. Going back to smoking won't help, even if that nicotine monster is telling you it will. I'm glad you are here and I wish you Luck!3 points

Hi Linda, sorry you're stressing. What I would do is keep telling myself that nonsmokers don't crave a smoke when they're stressed. And I used my JAC a lot the first six months! Hope you feel better tomorrow3 points

REZ Posted April 23, 2014 · IP I have tried many many times through out my smoking career to quit and have failed every single time except one!!!!! This one is different, One of the reasons why I think is " I was just tired of quitting!" Tired of having to look those same people in the eyes every time and say, ya i started again. Tired of ignoring the side effects from smoking, the smell, the shortness of breath, ect! Tired of of all the money and services i had to fork over on loosing bets! Tired of looking and feeling like a looser to my friends and family! Tired of trying to explain to others why i started smoking again! Tired of rationalizing to myself why i started smoking again! Just got tired of trying to quit smoking!(50+times) :( Now i'm not tired anymore! :) Link to original post: https://www.quittrain.com/topic/912-just-got-tired-of-quitting-again-and-again-and-again/2 points

Yesterday was not a great day as I said. Had some news that had me stressed and worried. Smoking was the first thing that comes to my mind.it was always my go to when I was upset. Have to deal with it some other way. Reached out to a friend and that did help talking about it but it is not easy sometimes2 points

So sorry for the stressful news Linda. In the early days of our quits, it is hard not to reach out to our addiction to calm our difficulties. Just keep praising yourself for powering through them so far. You have quit smoking, which is an unbelievably difficult task. Eventually the picture will all fall into focus and you will see that the unpleasantries in life are nothing compared to consequences of feeding our addictions.2 points

We were signed up at Walgreens, Drug Mart and CVS Pharmacy. They are running 4 weeks behind and still doing the 70 yr. olds. I probably should have waited but I could not wait to get it. I did not have any reaction, (except frustration with the process and wait). My arm wasn't even that sore. Yes, I hear New York is crazy.2 points
