  4. Couple Friends/ relatives came over to give me a hand with my Game room remodel, I had thought that both of them Quit smoking WRONG ! What was worse Both smoked my favorite smoke, Camel Wides. Both also know There is no smoking in the house, so as we are working I can smell the smoke, coming up from the back yard and on Carmen's clothes. I was trying to convince myself that it doesn't smell good, but it did. Carmen and Monic were good and kept far way from me but it was still there, some how I got my head onto thinking only about the roof repair we were doing and the smell of dinner cooking coming up the stove fan vent. Once I got involved about the job we were doing I was good, it was just another smell that really didn't bother me anymore. It felt good not to have that craving or at least to be able to remove it and replace it with something else. But I di fell bad of my friends knowing the harm that is waiting down the road for them. But Yes another hurtle jumped Feeling really good about where I am at and about my quit.

  21. I truly believe in the power of positive thinking and here's why...The last several years have been terrible for me. Absolutely terrible... I was mad at my Drs, mad at family members, sad over other things going on and just didn't care about anything. But then I almost died in January of 2020 and between that and the thought I may not survive this pandemic just decided that I didn't want to be mad anymore on what could possibly be my last year alive. So in April I think it was I just decided I was done being mad everyday and what a difference its made! You can hear it in the change of my voice, I'm sleeping better and even started to reconnect with people I had left behind for one reason or another. Years ago in my early twenties when I was starting my first business I used to write positive sayings on sticky notes and put them on my bathroom mirror so I saw them as I was getting ready for work but somehow had forgot how well they worked. Just as they apply to everyday life they apply to quitting our addiction so anytime you find yourself struggling, try thinking about one positive thing quitting has done for you then write it down on a sticky note and stick it somewhere that you'll see it several times a day

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
