Keep looking to the future. Realize that once you confront most of your holidays triggers in your first year, the rest of the holiday seasons in the coming years will be very much more easier to handle. You really have to do this only once. Cristóbal2 points

It is all about science. Once you are a nicotine addict, you will never be able to control your smoking. The Law of Addiction says: "Administration of a drug to an addict will cause re-establishment of chemical dependence upon the addictive substance." This applies to nicotine. This science will show you why you cannot have just a puff or two. Follow this link: Nicotine Receptors In Your Brain Cristóbal2 points

I too also have the occasional smoking dreams and they can be so realistic to the point I feel that I have started again. I agree with Christian99 above as what might be the cause. The good thing is that once I am fully awake I realize I still have my quit and usually come right to this site and dive into some reading and reaffirming my quit.1 point

I still have occasional smoking dreams (maybe once or twice a year), and they're incredibly disturbing to me. I don't think they have anything to do with smoking, per se; instead, I've come to see them as profound expressions/metaphors for anxiety or stress about other things going on in my life.
