NOPE Craving a cigarette, so good time to pledge for a new day. Going to bed to sleep it off. There's always a way around or through or over or under a craving, if one just looks hard enough, and wants to find a way enough.9 points

I found the best way for me to get past the morning craving was to change up my routine. I forced myself to hop in the shower first thing and get moving! If weather was nice, I would take a walk around the neighborhood or walk the dog. I have progressed over the past 3 years to where I am now doing hiking!!!6 points

Sorry...being a bit daft here but is smokeless tobacco that chewing stuff or vaping?...not that it really matters both are a nicotine addiction. I was not a cold turkey quitter, I used nrt chewies (gum). If you do choose this method i suggest going in with an exit plan....while on the nrt you are still feeding the addiction so you need to be pretty strict with how you plan to cut down and stop the nrt. Set time frames and daily limits. We are all different but if you want to know shat worked for me im happy to share.5 points

Smoke or smokeless, you're a nicotine addict. Same as all of us here. Cravings for nicotine first thing in the morning and after a meal was normal for most of us and we successfully quit. You just have to practice self discipline just as if you were still in the military. This time instead of fighting for our freedom though you're fighting for your life. Don't give in to that big baby nicotine. Put your foot down and say enough is enough. You can do it up in smoke, and we'll support you along the way. Thank you very much for your service5 points

Never seen any big meaty wings on any bird I have bought. I cant even scrape any meat off them for the cats!! You must have bigger birds in Canada and USA. So is the meat any better than the drumstick! WHY!!! it looks like a bit of gristle eughh..4 points

No you can not smoke in Vegas then stay quit when you return home. It doesn't work that way. Nicotine addiction is a lot different than occasional drinking or gambling. You're probably not addicted to either of those. IMO, you'd be nuts to throw away a 3 week investment in your healthier future. It's not as hard today for you to fight the cravings as it was three weeks ago so why cave now!4 points

You really have to know where to buy them because you're right, most wings are skin & bones with very little chicken on them. I never eat wings at a restaurant because they are always disappointing. Over cooked and what little meat is on them is all dried out. There's a market near where I live and they sell really large wings (uncooked of course), with the wing tips cut off (because there's zero meat there). These wings are really meaty. I can only eat about 6 in one sitting - maybe 8 if I'm really hungry. Eating them out somewhere, I'd eat 12 -16 and still be hungry4 points

You, like us, are nicotine addicts. We cannot have just one. This is impossible and if you listen to the addiction instead of the Truth, you will remain a slave.4 points

Congratulations on your quit, Michael. Hold on to your commitment with everything you've got. Your craves and urges and triggers will pass. Stay focused and reward yourself for beating this.4 points

You don't need to use nrt cheque. You could just use normal stuff...um maybe that cinnamon stuff cos it has a bit of a bite to it. The action of chewing is still met without the nasty poisons and drugs.4 points

You're welcome anytime. I don't normally eat sausages but for you, I'll make an exception4 points

Don't set your self up for failure ...turn all negative thoughts into positive ones ... Put your whole self in ....That old Hokey Cokey song ...being half hearted is no good ... I'm sure your well aware of the dangers of chewing tobacco.....it's only a matter of time ... Stick close ...come here kicking screaming ,complaining ....we heard it all.... Buckle up ...Take the daily pledge ..NOCE....Not one chew ever .... Try reading Allen Carr the easy way to stop smoking ....this guy has helped millions kick the addiction ... Many here too...just change the word smoke for chew...same principle.... Down load it for free.. You can do it ...4 points

I know I’m new to this and this is all kind of odd for me to be writing about my cravings and desires to smoke but I’m going to give it a shot. It’s been 3 weeks now and all of a sudden, the past two days I have really been wanting just to have a cigarette. I have read posts on here, gone through videos, know all the negative things associated with smoking, but man, there are some days I just miss it. I was about go to Vegas this past week but had to cancel for work related reasons and all I kept thinking was how nice it would be to be in a casino, have a cocktail and a smoke. Maybe not going was a good idea but the thought of it is weighing heavy. I’m sure I know the answer, but does anyone think I can only smoke there (Vegas) and not bring it back? Kind of like gambling and drinking, I hardy do either unless I’m in Vegas, could that be a thing? All thoughts I have are how they (cigarettes) made me feel when feeling stressed or irritable. I try justifying it all and honestly feel crazy having an argument with myself over buying a pack or not. Cravings have gotten less; so just trying to make it through this one. Thanks for listening. I feel just typing this all out has helped, at least for this latest craving.3 points

As Johnny says, no matter where you smoke, you will bring it back and continue when you get home. I think you know that anyway. Definately junkie thinking and romancing the times, you did it before and enjoyed it. Its just nostalgia! Leave it there in the past, and stay smoke free. It will get easier in time, and you will learn to love your new smoke free life, and feel comfortable that you dont want or need that anymore. Stay positive.3 points
