G’day Called them chit chats for as long as I can remember cause of that noise. Little beggars get caught in the screen door when it closes. What is that smell? yep another job for Chris. Seems my lot in life is to dispose of anything dead and the spring loaded screen door closer means a paint scraper is required! I quite like having them around they certainly can clean up some insects attracted by the light on the back verandah. They seam to stick upside down on any surface easily. They are not infallible thought. They have been known to miss their footing when doing the double decker gecko passion tango. The dog used to sleep with one eye open waiting for a passionate pair to drop from the heavens. Happened every now and then but the dog had always fallen asleep by then.....waiting....5 points

I work for a state government agency. Places like this are the true definition of a bureaucracy. There are some highly questionable people leading things here. I know of several IT Project Managers who openly admit to "not knowing the first thing about computers." You are already more of an IT expert than the people I just mentioned. Congratulations.4 points

There is a plethora of mis-information out there about Cold Turkey, much of it perpetuated by drug companies. Many health workers, including physicians, are ill-informed or mis-informed about quitting in general, Cold Turkey specifically. That being said, there is no wrong way to quit and there a plenty of successful quits that depended on NRTs. I chose Cold Turkey because of the simplicity, the expense (FREE) and the immediacy of getting nicotine out of my body and out of my life. Joel Spitzer was the first one (and certainly the only comprehensive one) that I found with consistent and accurate information on quitting Cold Turkey. But, no matter how you quit, Joel's resources are invaluable in understanding nicotine addiction and staying nicotine free. We are lucky to have Joel Spitzer's Quitting Library here.3 points

Thank you, @sazerac. I'm mindful of my own inner strength and I use a lot of willpower reaching for my peppermints rather than money to buy cigarettes, which taste and smell like cow dung. I'm so happy I discovered Quit Train on Google. And I love my mints that my Jehovah's witness friend Michelle bought me.2 points

Rozuki In 25 days, I will celebrate 3 yrs quit!! I have had a few health issues in those 3 years, but survived a stroke in 2017 and CABG x 3 open heart surgery in 2018. No complaints and my doctors are happy with how I am doing. Gained quite a few lbs\kg (due to the heart surgery, not the fact that I quit smoking!!) but have managed to lose a few of 'em...will be doubling down on the exercise as I need to fit into a bathing suit the week of May 1st!!! I retired January 2019 and in process of getting my house ready to sell this summer...fingers crossed it goes quickly and smoothly. Here is a cute pic of one of my dogs, his name is Panda....he is a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) and is a sweetie-pie of a little tuff guy!2 points
