Mornin' fellow NOPErs and welcome to the first day of December... which is work AIDS Day..... most of us here would remember the fear and horror as news of HIV and AIDs existance became world news.... Did you know, White King (a super strong bleach) can kill the HIV virus.... the problem is it would also kill any person you injected it into... so there is still no cure, just a treatment to keep it at bay.... a treatment that so many in the world will never be able to afford. So world AIDs day is a day to remember those we have lost, and to make sure it stays in prominence so that the push is there for research to find better treatment, and one day to find a cure.Its also the beginning of tie month and Human Rights month. NOPE ... .... never give up hope.

That's right you have played your way to a beautiful double figure quit. You have put in the hard yards and worked so well to build a strong, solid base for your lifetime quit. Super proud of you. So make sure you do soemthing befitting a double digit achievement to rejoice and celebrate. Definated think double digits deserves double the rewards.

Thank you, thank you, thank you..... you coming to share my celebration was really important to me and Lost is perfect, because I did kind of fear lost when you went off on your big adventure called life. So for now... because I don't really have any photos... here is a picture of me... cos my friend I like you too... Honestly though one day we will share a drink, if I visit my cousins in Nazare or if you decide to have a real adventure and come to Australia I will definately make time to have a beer with you. Thank you so much for all your support to help me get to 1 year.... and for coming back to wish congratulate me .... it really does mean the world to me. I hope you pop in and visit from time to time... and let us all know all the wonderful things you are doing... and when you write your book you better tell us because I'll learn frickin Portugese to read it... or make my Uncle Fernando read it to me.. either way will work.

What a great quit you have established and built month by month. So make sure you do something special to celebrate this newest of achievements. We'd love to hear how you spoiled yourself.

I'm okay! Thank you for thinking of me, so kind of you! Yes, I'm in Anchorage, I've been here 28 years and that was right up there in the top 3 of NOT fun quakes. Fortunately, there has been no loss of life. The main damage found so far is to our roads and bridges. Kudos to strict building codes and compliant engineers and building contractors. Here's the crazy thing... I just sold my house, signed the final paperwork on Tuesday, the money hit the bank on Wednesday and the new owner moved in yesterday. Poor lady, I hope it didn't sustain any damage. I fly out of here next week. What a stellar send off! I'm good. A little rattled, ha, but ok. I can live without these aftershocks, geez!!!! ??

It seems like there's a fight going on inside, Words going stark raving mad to take flight. I hesitate, but they want a deluge To hide is something they absolutely refuse. I ponder, wait and consider all angles They run unchecked, unhinged, untangled. Do I open the gates, I wonder Would the flood tear my life asunder? They just want to be free, not like freedom today In the true sense, totally uninhibited No judging, no boundaries, no questions Free to choose their destiny, their directions. So I let them flow, crimson like the Nile millenia ago They gush out, jump, and rush head on into the world. They clash against stoic wills and egos, against logic and emotions, Some get smashed to pieces, some hit hard, some get ignored, and some unleash the demons. I feel empty inside, like suddenly the colors are gone the world is bathed in pristine white. The silence is deafening, maybe I'm not used to peace For I know that like everything, peace comes at a price.

Congratulations @Linda Thomas for being 4 months smoke free!! Well done Linda on being 1/3rd of the way through your first year of smoking freedom. You have been tested over this time and each test just makes you stronger as a non-smoker and within yourself. You my dear are an inspiration for those coming behind you, we are all so proud. So celebrate, rejoice and do something just for you because you deserve it.
