Thankful the house next to me is so over-priced so it will stay empty for a while. Thankful that the house across the street is empty. There used to be a bunch of criminals living there. Thankful I do not have a spouse to put up with. Thankful that our old supervisor got fired. The new one is a reasonable guy. Thankful I do not have to deal with step family. Yeah for me, I am more thankful for certain things I DON'T have than what I do.

I am thankful to be sheltered and fed, clothed. I am healthy. I have everything I need to make art. Also thankful, I was able to take the high ground at daughter's wedding and not pour Dr. Martin's Permanent Ink over Evil Step-Mother's face. (this thankfulness is tinged with a smear of regret) I am thankful everyday that I quit smoking. It is the best thing I have ever done for myself in my life and the benefits continue.

I am thankful that after 23 years my kitchen sink is finally at my window where I can look over my purple patch thanks to my amazingly talented son... ????? who takes none of his talent from his father by the way...!!

I thought in the spirit of the American Thanksgiving we could share what we are thankful for.... I am thankful that I got a new job and that I am now a former smoker. I am grateful that quitting smoking allowed me to makes some amazing new friends and that Google showed me the way to the Quit Train. Let's go around the table and share what we are grateful for...

OK so .... Houston; We have a PROBLEM!! I was in the galley with @catloverdoing a fabulous job cleaning the grills in preparation for the big party when I saw there was something odd stuck in the hull of the ship. It appeared to be a huge disc made out of cork or something. I twisted it around to see what it was and it suddenly popped right out .... well; clearly that was a mistake as we started taking on water big time and I couldn't get the plug back in. We had to abandon ship in a hurry as it was listing to the port side pretty bad. As we rowed away in the lifeboat, there seemed to be a fire just before she tipped right over on it's side and then .... oh my, it's just too traumatic to even tell you about it but I'm in bits over it (actually, so is the ship ) I hope @Tammy, @MLMR and @RhinoDragon got out OK! I saw them pass by us on the galley deck just before the "incident" I managed to get a short video of the final moments as @Doreensfree rowed us away in the lifeboat. Does anyone know where I can get a new ship built in 2 or 3 days I'm gonna make some calls and try to pull in some favors that are owed

G'day I Don't have a memory of the last cig I smoked but I'm clear about the first one I resisted. It's was Saturday 10th October 2015 08:30. ( yes I know there was a mixup with the dates what a party!) I took that cig and drowned it with with a few of its brothers and sisters in thier pack in the kitchen. The spare pack from the car got the same treatment. No keeping a few back it was on! I took my sweetheart to a movie to keep myself busy. Four days later she fronted me and said" You smell nice, have you given up smoking! ......I could not have been prouder! 3 years now of sweet freedom. I don't think about smoking anymore. I front up every day and shout my pledge to the waking world... NOPE! its a Sweet Shout of Freedom. Im a slave no longer. Chris

G'day Got rid of the drips and drains. Drugs out of the system so it's safe to say something now. Got a cracker of a scar running up one side of my neck. I was unavoidably detained. My intentions were good: do some scouting and report back in a prompt manner. Then I made an executive decision to start recruiting some talent to work the bar for the big party. I didn't really look at her resume or check her references, but...she's hired!

it was in response to @Sslip's comment about Joe Root... Background: Some Australian cricket players got suspended from playing because they were cheating (against South Africa) buy tampering with the ball so that it was harder to hit. They were really bad at cheating and got caught. As punishment they got banned for 12 months. It was very embarrassing, I did a big ffff rant about it at the time. Ever since they got banned Australia has been playing really bad. So people wanted them to be allowed to play again. Translations: I am thankful that the Australian Cricket Board (ACB) didn't cancel the bans they put on the players who cheated, even if it means Australia will loose every game this Summer. If they had let the cheaters off the punishment, then the English (poms) would have more things to make fun of us (Australians) about.
