Greeting Fellow Nopers... today down under it is Threatened Species Day.... the day we remember the Thylacine (Tasmanian Tiger).... wait what, the Tasmanian Tiger, there are no tigers in Australia you drip.... no there are not because on this day in 1936 the last known Tassie Tiger died alone in the Hobart Zoo because we made them extinct... So every year on 7th of September it is Threatened Species Day... and you know what they said in 1936, NOPE, no more animals going extinct.... and did that work NOPE.... so I am sad now and need Fluffy to show her wee Scottish face and give me my Friday hug. NOPE ... not today, tomorrow, or ever9 points

Laying out the fabric and designing a tabard for my Mother of Bride ensemble. Daughter's 'colours' are rose, gold and a goofy turquoise. I'm not playing with the turquoise. This is silk upholstery fabric with a really nice weight and a powerful but, subtle shimmer in the gold. I'll be wearing black underneath and will make another Thomas Moore hat with tassels. Love tassels. There will be tassels on the tabard ties too. Traditionally, tabards are worn over your Knightly armor. Funny that.

Thanks guys, I am so happy that I made it. I used to stare at the quit smoking time line and look at the five year mark where it lists some major health benefits and wonder if I would make it. Now it is free and easy and I do not want the nicotine any more. I think it is just saying nope minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, dismissing the urge until it is more natural to be a nonsmoker than a smoker. For me this took over a year although the urge grew fainter as the first year went by. Remember. Smoking us yucky. Meow2 points

Ironic. A movie with such strong anti-consumerism themes would, perhaps unwittingly, promote the products of the single worst industry in the history of the world. Not crazy about all the smoking in Fight Club. That being said, it is still a movie I watch at least once a year. The whole tough and edgy smoker thing was just a story we told ourselves to validate our addiction. It's behind us now...2 points
