  1. Good morning my fellow NOPErs... today is International Elephant Day, a day to celebrate these beautiful animals who demonstrate the finest of human traits, intelligence, family orientated, great memories, a wide range and depth of emotions, empathy and stunning self-awareness. The create complex, supportive societies.... but the way we treat them shows the worst of human behaviour. So in many ways we should all be more like elephants... ok so, because they have awesome memories and would never forget to NOPE.... not that they would be silly enough to smoke in the first place... lets just see what they say.. Will you have a puff today? NOPE ... cos nothing controls me but me. topic of the day: Sundee Slang Fest

  2. ey NOPErs... pulled a migraine.. been offline... so for Ingersoll Day, the day to commemorate Robert G. Ingersoll.. a person until today I had sadly never heard of... he was a great American orator during the 1880's who campaigned tirelessly for the rights of women and minority groups. So regardless of where you sit in your quit remember when you help another you lift yourself too.. NOPE... NOT TODAY, NOT TOMORROW, NOT EVER, FOREVER!

  6. Been said by others but pride and self respect... I didn't realise until I quit how much shame I had with my smoking... having a friend's 14 year old tell me they are so proud of me that I don't smoke anymore meant more than I could ever imagine it would have.

  10. The whites of my eyes are now white again!!! I had so much trouble with my eyes the last few years while smoking...bloodshot, crusty, itchy, lumps...had to go through such a routine on a daily basis to alleviate all that. Who knew it was my body rebelling against cigs? ?

  11. Freedom is delicious. Self Respect for one's own body ! True corporeal inner strength and power. A new found trust in myself. The ability to change. Breath. Sex. Wealth. I love not smoking. and quitting has had no down side. Not a one. Well, the first year was a steep learning curve but, after that...it is a splendid way to LIVE.

  17. There are a ton of positive changes I've seen but the surprising one to me was how much better I felt about myself. My pride and self-esteem got a huge boost knowing that I was able to successfully make such a challenging but rewarding life change like quitting smoking.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
