After work on Friday, we will be headed to Columbus to meet up with our daughter , son in law, and granddaughter to hop a plane for sunny South Florida! We are going to Marco Island and the forecast looks great!!! Of course, anything above freezing and sunny is better than anything Ohio has been dishing out... cold beer and a warm beach, surrounded by women.... almost paradise... lol5 points

Of course at three weeks and three months there is sometimes a nasty battle where we want like hell to smoke again. Just keep in mind that you were able to go 11 days without a smoke, so you KNOW you can survive without another coffin nail. So by now, notice how food actually taste better and you can smell stuff again? Plus, all the stupid inconveniences of smoking are no longer a bother. Like trying not to run out, having to make a special trip to the store, lighters stocked, etc...2 points

Hi I'm Katie, I just signed up today, and literally quit less than a day ago. I was reading some of the posts on the message board and it really helped me get out of my own head when I was feeling weak, so thanks for that.1 point

Did my boxing work this morning. Good workout. Not great, but good enough. I'm going to change up my workout tomorrow morning. Do a bit of legwork, but lighten the load and go for reps over weight. Then take advantage of the big thaw and run the Pot Point Loop trail on Saturday morning. Cold weather and cabin fever have me Jonesing for some trail time.1 point

Went for a walk outside for 3 miles nice and relaxing to be under the sun even though it is a bit cold. Going to go snowshoeing this weekend and walk cody one day also. It is going to be warmer out. What Is everyone else doing? Keep moving forward Lisa1 point

Welcome Katie. Listen to the others and read, research and reach out as needed. Everyone here is a great help. They all have been at my side for the last two weeks. It is not easy but it is not all that hard, just commit and remember 1 hour 1 day at time and remember NOPE -- Not One Puff Ever (believe it or not that one statement has gotten me through a couple of tough times this last couple of weeks and this site as well).1 point

Thanks! In my 11th day. I swear with my addictive personality, If I can, literally anyone can. Allen Carr smoked 4 packs a day. He quit. No matter how bad you think you got it, somebody has got it worse. I never thought for a second that I would be a non-smoker, even for 11 days. Hell, 1 day... They do nothing for us. They take away our health, our time and our money.1 point

Remember to read, read, read everything on this site you can. Look for the pinned threads at the top of the Quit Smoking Discussions page! Watch as many of the Joel videos as you can too. There's an entire library available to you here on a separate page. Education about this addiction + personal commitment + support from other quitters = success It is really very simple - just never take another puff ..... ever! This may not seem easy to do at first but once you understand and truly believe that smoking does nothing good for you, it becomes much easier. Focus on the positive things that come your way once you quit. There are all kinds of good things that start to happen the moment you stop smoking.1 point
