Third Week Dragging On


The third week is dragging on soooo slowly. I'm managing to keep from having a smoke, but I'm really bored. I keep going for walks, both in the park and in the back yard. Our trees are flowering, so it's kinda pretty in the back yard. This morning I went for a 2.09 mile walk with my dad. (Fitbit tracks where I go. Yay!) I've been taking pictures of the flowers, but there's only so many pictures you can take of the same flowers. The good news is I don't feel like sleeping all the time anymore, so I'm getting my energy back. It's just a matter of what to do with it.

This is so true!! Without that smoking time anymore and new energy reserves - it is like... why do I have this excess time? I have trouble doing things like watching TV for long periods of time. When I quit originally in November - I took up adult coloring books. Considering finishing one coloring sheet takes like 8 hours - i would work on it whenever I was feeling antsy. Just as a thought! A hobby that keeps your hands busy may help.

I hope it's ok to say but these comments about free time made me smile. It's true that there is a wealth of time suddenly and it feels like nothing can fill it.

 

May I suggest a list of things to do. Write a list of all those jobs and hobbies that you've meant to get round too and when you get restless thinking free time do the next thing or something you fancy doing off your list? I mixed up some googling of information that interested me (crystals, kings and queen lineage and so on), meditation, cleaning out under the sink, under the stairs and basically jobs I'd put off. I also had new things to try and bake and all sorts. It's really made me smile to remember finding loads of things to do and having the time to follow them through. 

 

Either way, week 3 can feel long Indigo, I don't know why. Some say there's something in the 3's, others don't buy into that "nonsense" and I just want to say - great job on trudging through this week! You're doing amazing. xx

I remember that by my third week I was tired and cranky.  I can recall that is when I gave up on my diet which led to my robust figure today. My sense of smell and taste came back.    :0 I can recall though that on day 22 I felt a lifting of the worse craves.  It is a journey to learn how to be a nonsmoker

There are going to be times that drag by. Getting to where you are is huge because the first month is the most challenging month.

Week three was a nightmare for me, hated it.

 

You are doing so well. Give yourself time to adapt. It takes awhile.
