Our Precious Beth (Queen Greenlover) Has Passed Away

I honestly don't know what to say. I just found out about this and talked to her daughter-in-law on the phone just a few minutes ago. She passed last night and was found this morning. For those of us who've gotten to know Beth over the years, this is a heartbreaking day for everyone, especially her family. Please keep her family in prayers and for those of us who knew her through our smoking support group, please reach out to one another and this is devastating news. She was such a tough lady who inside, was sweet, loving and would do anything for anybody.

OMG....I completely missed this while I was gone. I am in shock!

Beth was a great person and a wonderful asset to this forum!

She had her struggles recently, but always had a positive outlook.

She will be greatly missed.

RIP Beth aka Greenlover

Will remember her as the lady who loved green with a strong personality.

Very heart warming to see old farts as well as newbies come and post to show the respect they have you!

As the kids would say.... OMG!!!

Greenlover and I went at it at first (on the other place) time and time again and then one day it seems as though we turned a corner.  We started to agree on things and we started to respect each other.  She was real... .and I respect real

Rest in Peace Beth.

I cannot believe our dear Beth is really gone. She had a huge heart and had such a way with words. She will be so dearly missed.

The first time I "saw" her, she reminded me of someone that every grandchild would love to have as a grandma. So huggable and so full of love.

She got her heart fixed, something she was so terrified of but she did it. Then she was so excited about her new eyes and teeth. She finally felt like she was getting a new lease on life.

She loved her cats.

I agree with Sarge. I feel honored to have "known" her and that my life is better for it.

I will miss you Beth. You have helped so many people and probably never even knew it. And your words will live on to help many more.

I feel like I missed out, Beth was never mean to me. I once called myself the relapse queen and she accused me of trying to steal her title and it made me laugh...from then on I trusted she had been where I was going and she simply called BS when that happened and hi five'd you when you did good.  I like real people.

Sending love and light to wish her well on her journey home, safe in the knowledge she will be safe and well with her sister by now. Pleased in a way that they are together.

Personally, I feel really sad and can't quite believe it.

Can't imagine what her family are going through so sending love to all of them. xx

I knew Beth from another board, and yes we also butted heads from time to time, she did with many there. But she also gave good, solid advice to many, and I can see she was very loved here. That other board had so much angst at times I could not stand it.

My thoughts are with her family and also with everyone here who is grieving her loss. I'm so sorry.

I logged on tonight and saw this awful news. I am saddened. Beth was a straight shooter and would call it as she saw it with usually a twist of humor. I respected that, respect her. My prayers to her family. RIP Queen G, you will be missed ♡ Maybe down the road a blog could be made with some of her posts or words of wisdom...

Wow still shocked. Beth was a spitfire that said it like it was and I respected her for that. She also didn't have the easiest of times in life. She is finally at peace with her sister and that is what's important.

This is very sad an sobering news... I'm not very good in situations such as these, so I think I will have to go with what Sarge said, and say the Beth was a Lifer - free from addiction to the very end.  I'm sure she wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

We didn't always see eye to eye in the beginning, but we certainly got to know each other better after a while.  A truly kind hearted lady, even if she did not show it immediately.

RIP Beth / Queen Green

The straightest of straight-shooters. Said what she did and did what she said.

Will be missed.

I never knew her well, and I think she and I were quite different sorts. But I saw her as honest and integral, and tough as hell. I'm sorry she's gone, and I'll miss her.

I never knew this lady as I joined after her passing but from what I have read, it seems she was "my kind of people". I like real people and it seems she was that............................ RIP Beth.
