MQ posted this in another post and I need to put it somewhere that I can pop in and see it easily.

****"It doesn't matter if you feel like you want a cigarette, have a craving or a shitty day, the choice is always there."*****

It may seem obvious to some in fact is sounds obvious to me but to my addicted body... it isn't.

Hehe. Silly body!!

Not one puff ever.

It doesn't matter how bad you (me) really want a cigarette. You don't smoke. Period.

Period. Period!

It. doesn't. matter.

You. don't. smoke.

That's right Hol, you DO NOT SMOKE.   Just because you want to does not mean you have to.

Example:  I'd like to push my ex-husband out a window.  NO REALLY.

The problem is that I would not be happy in prison.  I know this.  So just because I want to remove him from this planet, I won't because it wouldn't be worth the consequences.  Same with smoking.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
