Quit Date: 02/04/2015

Posted March 21, 2015

What will I do today?

There's a smorgesbord of things ...

Because it's officially Spring

and

I don't have to think about not smoking every minute.

This is real freedom.   (The Secret)

I don't have to white-knuckle it.

Just apply light attention. Vigilant, but not heavy-handed.

I have earned this freedom.  But this day? ~~~ it's a gift.

How many days I threw away to smoking ~~~ So many!

(shameful)

But not today.

I feel happy. (Birds chirping) That's all. Easy-peasy.

Happy Today to all.

So appreciate this, @jillar. Sometimes quitting seems like mortal combat, a desperate struggle. But reading this helps me have faith that the Train is taking me to freedom and peace. Ease is just around the corner. I'm gonna focus on that idea today!

Great post and oh so true.  Like spring is the new beginning of freedom.  I can think of this season as the blossoming of my forever quit.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
